I actually don't remember what sparked the initial idea, but I threw this together pretty fast just to mess around with a sort of deformed, fish-eye perspective. I liked the somewhat cute (and somewhat cursed) design enough to add some silly text and throw it on as my pfp, but I've had people asking about or complimenting it that I decided to go ahead and just upload the full size. I find it kind of interesting that the bigger you draw eyes on something, the more it reads as "cute" even if objectively the proportions make no sense. You can see this with a lot of the more cutesy anime, Disney, and more obviously The Power Puff Girls. I've even noticed people think jumping spiders are "more cute" than other spiders, and one of their most obvious features is oversized eyes.
The background is recycled (as I often do when I'd rather spend more time on the focus), just heavily deformed to fit the bizarre perspective. I really do like having the deform and perspective tools in Clip when I want to skew things at a strange angle.
(Oh and I'll probably move this to scraps later.)
