Sometimes Lapis can get so caught up in her sciencing and tinkering, be it experimenting with combining strange materials to make strange but useful substances, or mixing up mysterious liquids with all kinds of intriguing effects and uses~! It probably doesn't help her sense of time that a lot of her science of this kind is done in a little pocket dimension, just in case the effects get... eldritch.
