Anne originally didn't have a name when she showed up to the Halftime pub. She was already content with her life, one of backstabbing others - quite literally - and though she was blamed, no consequences ever befell her. She'd quietly dispose of eggs at Daycares, 'eliminate' Pokemon right from under their trainer's eyes...and each time, she didn't make herself hidden. She was merely there, with that shining halo above her head. A picture of innocence, indeed. That didn't last long, though; despite not being punished, she was let go from many a trainer who tried to tame her. Each was just a new victim for her to terrorize, and their Pokemon the means of which to do so. She cast away the quiet and seclusive life a normal Celebi would have for the sheer thrill of her horrific exhibitionism, and she reveled in the stares she got when she was willfully caught red-handed.
But that changed when she was caught by a trainer who didn't really much care for her antics. Their Pokemon didn't seem to matter to them, only giving her a blank expression and going about their way as if nothing had happened. Instead, their attention was more focused on cooking using their plentiful amounts of berries...what was she to do, to get the reaction she wanted out of them? Their bag was quite secure on their body, and she couldn't very well steal them by sticking her hand in there. Moreover, there were hundreds of them in their bag - she couldn't possibly do away with every one of them without directly confronting her trainer. That was one of her rules. So she sat, biding her time, thinking of what to do, watching her trainer bake those berries. Poffins, pokeblocks...she watched her trainer make them all. And eventually that sparked curiosity in the more humane side of her; though she would have rather enjoyed just ditching her trainer for another easy target, there was another side of her that rather liked this period of time of learning something else. Perhaps instead of merely destroying or killing to get her high, she should create - beat her trainer in their own game.
Fast forward, she's now the head chef of the Halftime pub, due in part to this experience and being the only one of the crew with the prerequisite limbs and ability. While she does enjoy cooking, still believing she should be better than her previous trainer, she still keeps her deadly persona (always keeping her stake on her person at all times), as well as her enjoyment of acting innocent when things go awry. Because of the many ways she could accomplish this - and knowing, at least in the vicinity of the Halftime pub, that many beings are already dead and thus her backstabbing tactics are ineffective - she's usually watched to ensure she doesn't try anything crazy. She'll still try stabbing people with her stake, but she's also added food poisoning and deliberately giving wrong orders to her repertoire of "things to act innocent about". At the very least, she does get enjoyment out of the many faces that do come in, finding it easier when victims come to her rather than her finding them, but she does get rattled rather easily by her coworkers. When she's not acting innocent, she's crass, bitter, and often just wants to be left alone; and when she's not allowed to be alone, she gets irritable and angers easily. Still, she's good at her job and doesn't crumble under pressure, and she's consistent enough to where a good flow of orders usually pacifies her worst qualities.
She finds Ellis to be too sad to try to prank, finding his...physique, to be rather grotesque and not worth dirtying her stake. As a waiter, he regularly comes in contact with Anne, but despite this she tries to keep her distance. Her avoidance of Ellis has started the rumor that she might be afraid of him, or at the very least disturbed by his very much still-living body despite his...features. Regardless of what one might believe, the astute will notice she never points her stake at Ellis whenever he's near, and she insults him the least.
Mute has often been found with Anne's stake stuck in her hair, likely due to her getting more insulted than Ellis despite having the same jobs. When Mute tries to be positive, Anne is quick to dampen the mood, finding joy in opposing the half-Celebi at every turn possible. Anne attempts to poison or sabotage meals Mute handles more often than any other, just so Mute takes the fall for it and so she can put on her innocent face. When confronted about their relationship, Anne stated that she "just doesn't like her face".
If it were just Ellis and Mute she had to interact with, she could manage going a day without causing trouble. But with Snowy's presence, that all changes; she very much opposes his sociability and will often quip within earshot about how much she dislikes him. His attempts at probing the reasoning why Anne likes being alone, or why she likes doing the things she does, all end in failure as she vehemently opposes opening herself up. Those conversations usually end with a silent stare, but Snowy's influence still reaches her, planting seeds of doubt in her mind that she can't shake, making her even more irritable when she wants to rebut but can't find the words to whenever she gets agitated enough to keep talking. As such, she hates talking to him, but she knows that he, being undead, won't really be affected all that much by her stake. Still, she loves trying, just to see if it will work and shut him up.
Max is usually assigned to watch both her and the door, ensuring she won't get away with deliberately poisoning food for no reason. He's good at catching her, earning her ire with every failed attempt. Though his attention is usually divided, she can't help but think there's more to Max than meets the eye, considering how he almost always catches her in the act, whether she's being looked at or not. One time she tried her best to sneak up on him with her stake only to get reprimanded instantly, being tossed to the wall with a powerful Psychic, all without even a glance. Figuring he must have heightened senses, she's unable to get away with her plans to humiliate Mute or Snowy. The few times that she does get poisoned food out, Max is usually the one to stop it from being eaten as it heads out. She'd love to crack that head open to see just what makes him tick...
Doom is one Celebi that Anne hates dealing with above all others. She can tolerate the existence of the other employees, but the culinary side of her is dependent on Doom's success, which varies just enough to be too inconsistent and unsatisfactory for Anne. Unlike the others, Doom can match Anne's words in ferocity and emotion, leading to the two often having heated arguments. Snowy often joins these arguments on Anne's side, but despite the two having the same goal, she makes it a point that she wants Doom to be successful for her own benefit and not Snowy's. Still, she's usually kept busy enough that she can only moan and groan about what Doom brings, and while she'd love to take a day to join her to "show how you REALLY deal with Manectric that get too close", she knows she can't abandon her position for jollies. When Doom's wails fill the pub after calming down, Anne tries to keep herself busy to not show her face, but to say that the crying doesn't impact her would be false. Anne never had to deal with sadness or grief, and considering how the two are very much alike in personality, she feels a kinship between them - though she keeps this secret, never admitting that overhearing Doom's past once nearly drove her to tears.
