I hate it when people shoot big holes through my favorite clothes

Why would you wear your favorite shirt to work?

Why would you wear Anything to work when it's optional?
DragonPen

Why wear anything indeed. Well okay I can think of one reason. Fashion!

It's tough, when you have super regeneration, but can't regenerate the fave clothes.

See...this is why you don't wear your favorite shirt to work.

With super-beings like these, it's like..
Why even bother causing problems?

Like they're immortal, martial-arts masters, mind-reading demons...

The Hyper-phase Distortion Blaster!

(next: injuries to go)
(I recognized it but didn't realize you'd already put it in the description which made my recognition alone just an echo of the description :P)

But you understood the reference!
MviluUatusun

Unfortunately, I don't understand the reference.  Where is it from?

Calvin and Hobbes.

Oh, God!  Do you have any idea how long ago it was that I read that comic (other than the ones posted on YouTube)?  No wonder I didn't remember the reference.  LOL.

The "Buddow" sound effect stuck with me all these years so I got an instant recall when seeing it. I admit I did need to cheat by double checking I'd remembered "Hyper-phase distortion blaster" accurately... but I had.

And then I saw it was literally the description and I made a quick edit to confirm yes, I understood the reference and was making another reference to demonstrate that, rather than just echoing the description.

Sometimes I wish I had bought the "Calvin and Hobbes" comic books when they were readily available.  But, back then, I wasn't as into comic books as I had been when I was younger.

I got a lot of comic reading done from those books being available at the library. I memorized the Dewey Decimal code for them so I could easily find the comics in any branch. 741.5973.

I did! I just realized that, since the description was exactly what I'd said here, I needed to be clearer in my acknowledgement to get across that I *did* understand the reference, rather than just saying the description over again.

It was the "Buddow" that clued me in, and then I checked for shattering spine just to make sure it was intentional instead of an onomatopoeia coincidence.

I could feel my spine shatter.

It hurt.

A lot.

Man, that looks hard on the spine.

(I didn't get the reference until comment above brought it back to mind. Talk about a blast from the past...)

"Talk about a blast from the past..."  No pun intended?

Pun not intended but I stand by it.

ROFLMAO.  I love his reaction in the last panel.  I seem to remember hearing it in a movie a long time ago but, I can't remember which movie, when I heard, or even IF I heard it.

Oh, in the second panel, I almost expected to see the spitz barking from the way you drew his(?) mouth open and his teeth bared.

Okay.  I did hear it before.  However, I can't remember which movie it was from.  Do you remember?
