I was given the opportunity to draw a very personal piece of art. One of the things I treasure about my job as an artist is that I can help people express ideas and feelings that are difficult to get out on their own. I'm humbled by the trust that is put in me during these types of commissions.

The flowers in the drawing are beach evening primrose and purple hyacinth.
