Actually no. There was a point when coloring it where I accidentally made the ink-lines become hidden and it looked like this. And you're right, I was struck with 'Hey this now looks a bit like a pop art poster'. A thought that continued when I added the letters later.
So I guess it was an accidental inspiration, I didn't set out with the intention of having it look like this in the end.
