"Heh...well, i know that has you laughing." Gold says, Laurel nodding in return as he runs a hand through the middle of her ears. "Now...i just walked in. But i did notice you were quite focused on a commercial. You wanna tell me what it was about?"
Laurel jumps a little. "Uhh...c-commercial?" she replies with a nervous chuckle.
"I'm just curious, sunshine! You rarely pay attention to them, and you especially never get as focused as i saw." Gold points out.
"Oh...oh yeah." Laurel chuckles again. "Well, it was s-some...railroad commercial. The paint scheme on the train looked really cool, and the horns were awesome!" she quickly answers with a forced smile.
Gold puts a hand to his chin, feeling like Laurel was lying to him, and that wasn't exactly it. However, he didn't really feel like forcing the truth out of her right now, so he just shrugged it off.
"Well...sounds about right, Laurel. I know how much you love trains..." Gold tells her.
"Mm-hmm! M-maybe at some point, i'll find a scale model of it...or even better, i can buy it for my train game!" Laurel adds.
Gold chuckles. "Maybe...but try not to go too crazy with what you want to spend. You only have so much allowance."
Laurel giggles. "I know, dad!"
"Alright...well, i'll leave you be for now." Gold says, starting the walk back towards the foyer and down the hall. "Dad's got a few more chores to do. Come tell me before you leave to play with Sunny!"
"Yes, dad!" Laurel calls, nodding at him as he heads off, quickly running to the kitchen to grab some Ritz crackers to eat, and returning to the living room just in time for the next Meowth and Pikachu cartoon!
