It was in the dead of night when Gaeb and Robyn had fallen asleep together. The same night he made the choice to join her and her family as a wolf walker. As the two drifted off, Gaeb envisioned rather odd visions in his sleep. A dark hazy forest with a stream of light guiding his path. He followed it to the end of the road when he reached a glowing ghostly wolf. A form similar to the one he saw when he witnessed Robyn's transformation. He looked into it's cold calculating eyes as the figure stared back at him. Neither spoke a word to each other until Gaeb blinked. In the brief moment it took for him to close and open his eyes, the image of the wolf was replaced with an image of him. Concealed in that mysterious golden light. What could this mean? What was this mysterious glowing reflection of himself? He closed his eyes briefly yet again, and opened them to find himself back in the cave they were resting in. Robyn in her wolf form was at his bedside with a cheerful smile on her face, accompanied by what appeared to be a second wolf, one of a darker brownish coat. "You're awake" Robyn told Gaeb, which caught him by surprise as he could now understand her in her wolf form. "Wait, Robyn, I can understand you." He said to her in a puzzled tone. "Well duh, what did you expect after being bitten by a wolfwalker?" spoke the other wolf in a slightly condescending voice. "Mehb, don't be mean, it's his first time." Robyn replied. As Gaeb looked around rather confused, he tried standing up before noticing something didn't feel right. His body felt disproportioned, and he was moving rather strangely. As he tried to collect himself and figure out what was unusual about him, Mehb spoke out once more. "He seems to be a pretty slow learner, barely able to stand straight he can." Gaeb looked down as he got on what he thought was his knees and hands, then he looked down and saw the paws of a wolf. He gasped in shock and examined himself more. It didn't take much longer for him to put the pieces together; he had transformed into a wolf. A slew of different emotions were running through him. Nervousness, confusion, and restlessness. Despite knowing he would turn into a wolf at some point, the situation still felt incredibly odd as he was having a difficult time trying to gain control over himself. Robyn walked up to him and helped calm him down, instructing him to take a few deep breathes and to start with slow simple gestures. It took a bit longer than expected, but after a while Gaeb began to work out the kinks of his wolf body. "So, you ready to run wild?" Mehb asked excitedly. "Don't rush him Mehb, he's still getting used to it." said Robyn. "Well if you wanna tutor him a bit more, I'll be up ahead having some fun. Try not to take too long". Mehb exclaimed as she proceeded to run off into the forest on her own. Gaeb seemed rather puzzled by Mehb's uncontrollable energy as a wolf, asking Robyn if she's always like this. To that she said yes, even in her human forn, but that's what made her fun to be around. Gaeb was still having a little trouble with his wolf body, but Robyn was more than willing to teach him how to get around. After an hour had passed, Gaeb had become more familiar with his wolf anatomy believing himself to be ready for a run. "Are you sure?" Robyn asked. "I'm sure" Gaeb answered. And so, the two proceeded to run into the forest together, feeling the cool wind rushing against their fur as they raced through the trees and grassy pathway. The night was still young and the moon was full and high. It was a great night to be a wolf, and Robyn and Gaeb planned to make the most out of it. Thus was the beginning of Gaeb's new life as a wolfwalker, with Robyn by his side to guide him along the way. As was also the beginning of a new chapter in Robyn's story, as she now had a new friend to share it with.
