Everyone was in the kitchen eating breakfast, trying to tune out the fight between Ajax and Blaze in the living room. Ajax was in a bad mood, and Blaze was scolding him for being rude. Ella told Norman to cover his ears since Ajax was swearing. Finally, Ajax yelled, “SHUT UP!! I FUCKING HATE YOU!! YOU’RE THE WORST PERSON I FUCKING KNOW!!” and stomped to his room and slammed the door. Blaze came back and apologized to everyone. “I swear he’s out of control.” He said, rubbing his temples. “He’s angry, not out of control. You just need to treat him with respect instead of yelling at him,” Crystal explained. “I agree with Crystal. Ajax is a teenager and teenagers have really strong emotions. You need to talk to them with a certain tone. I’m gonna try and talk to him.” Jet said, getting up. Blaze tried to speak up. “Jet, I don't thin-” “Save it. You’ve said more than enough,” Jet snapped, holding his paw up. He left the room to talk to Ajax. He carefully opened the door. “Go away. I’m done talking to you,” Ajax snapped, thinking it was Blaze. “Hey, man. Are you okay?” He said, in a quiet voice. Ajax sat up and looked at him with tears falling from his face. “What do you want?” He said, angrily. “I just want to talk to you. Is that okay?” Jet said, calmly. Ajax didn’t say anything and just moved over as if inviting Jet to sit down. He sat next to his livid brother and placed his paw on his leg. “What’s wrong, buddy? Is something bothering you?” Jet asked. “N-no, I’m fine.” Ajax snapped. Jet remained calm and asked again. “You’re clearly not fine. What’s wrong?” Realizing Jet wasn’t going to leave without an answer, Ajax tearfully explained. “I *sniff* I managed to ask my crush out,” He said. “Well, congratulations. How’d it go?” Jet said. Ajax looked at Jet with an angry expression, his eyes red from crying so much. “He said no. He told me that he enjoyed being my friend, but he was in a relationship with someone else. It hurt.” Ajax explained. He gripped his pillow tightly and started making a strangling motion with it. “AM I NOT FUCKING GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU, BEAU!?!? I POURED MY FUCKING HEART OUT TO YOU, AND YOU PREFER SOME BITCH WHO DOESN’T FUCKING LOVE YOU!?!?!” He yelled, throttling the pillow. "Woah, woah, woah, calm down, buddy,” Jet said, grabbing Ajax’s arms. “Look, I’m sure you’ll find someone better.” Ajax threw the pillow and jumped up. “BUT I DON’T WANT ANYONE ELSE!!! HE WAS PERFECT FOR ME!!! He likes all the things I like, he’s sweet and caring, the way he laughs makes my day every time I hear it.” Ajax yelled, pulling his hair. Jet jumped up and grabbed Ajax, and held him in a warm hug. “Calm down, buddy. I know you’re upset, but I’m going to help you however I can.” He said. Ajax was clearly emotional, but Jet tried his best to keep him calm. Soon, his efforts paid off, and Ajax devolved to just crying. He spent an hour venting about his crush to Jet, who listened and gave advice. “Are you feeling better?” Jet asked. “Y-yeah, I think so. *sniff* But I’d like to be alone for a while.” Ajax said, wiping tears off his face. “Hey, when you’re feeling better, would you like for me to drive you around the town for a while?” Jet asked. Ajax nodded. “Okay, let me know when you’re ready to go.” Jet said. “I’ll leave you alone now.” Jet left and went back into the kitchen, where his siblings were playing card games. “There you are. Where’ve you been, mate?” Bolt said in an Australian accent. “Talking to Ajax. He’s doing better now.” Jet said, sitting down. “There are some cards if you wanna join in,” Bolt said in his normal voice. “So what the hell happened there?” “It’s a matter of secret business,” Jet said, placing a card down. “Is he okay?” Crystal asked. “He’s fine, he just needs time to himself.” Jet said. Meanwhile, Ajax was looking at pictures of himself with an Oshawott. He was heartbroken but knew there was nothing he could do. He sat there for a few minutes before deciding to take Jet’s offer. He got up and went into the kitchen and waved to Jet. “Hey, buddy.” Jet said, smiling and waving back. “Sorry, I need to go.” Jet and Ajax went into the living room and Ajax told Jet he was ready to go for a car ride. So Jet grabbed his keys and they headed out of the door. They got in Jet’s car and they were off. “So, can I ask about this Beau kid? What’s he like?” Jet asked. “Like I said, he’s really sweet, and caring. We have a lot in common. Heck, he even likes old rock music, just like me. But he has a girlfriend named Norah.” Ajax said, pouting. “Really? What’s SHE like?” Jet asked. “She’s a total bitch. She’s toxic and manipulative. The only reason Beau even spends any amount of time with that skank is that she said she’d kill herself if he rejected her. But that just means he cares about people, even if they don’t deserve it. Honestly, I’d just let her do it.” Ajax said, baring his teeth. “Ajax! I understand you don’t like her, but you cannot say things like that.” Jet scolded. Ajax rolled his eyes. “No one even likes her. Poor Beau even seems upset to be with her. I just wanna… save him.” He continued. Ajax went on and on about Beau while Jet was happy that Ajax was feeling better. Soon, they arrived at a lookout point and Jet parked the car. “This is one of my favorite spots to just sit and think about stuff.” He said. “Woah, it’s beautiful. Can we get a closer look?” Ajax said, mesmerized by the view. “Sure, just stay away from the edge.” Jet said, getting out of the car. They got out and sat close to the edge, but not too close. “Wow, it’s awesome. This is good inspiration for a song.” Ajax said. “I’m sure Kira would love to help you. She loves playing her drums and does it on every surface she can.” Jet laughed. Ajax was so relaxed and thought about taking Beau here if he ever decides to break up with Norah. Soon, Ajax got bored and asked to go home and Jet agreed. On the drive back, Jet asked “So, are you feeling better?”. Ajax nodded. “Yeah, I am. Thanks, Jet. This means a lot to me.” He said, smiling. “Of course. Y’know, if you ever feel angry or upset, come see me, and I’ll help you any way I can.” Jet said. “Promise?” “I promise. Now let’s go home.” Once they got home, Ajax went inside and apologize to Blaze. “I’m sorry for yelling at you, Blaze. I hope I didn’t hurt your feelings, but I’m really sorry if I did.” He said. “I’m fine. I’m sorry, too. Are you alright?” Blaze said. “I’m fine, Jet was a big help.” Jax said. “I’m glad to hear that.” Blaze said. Ajax headed back to his room to start writing a new song. Jet sat down with a satisfied smirk on his face. “Another crisis averted.” He said. “Right, so what’s your secret?” Blaze asked, sarcastically. “I just talked to him and showed him a cool lookout spot I know of.” Jet explained. “So, why was he so upset?” Blaze asked. Jet shrugged and said, “Boy Troubles”
