I was going through my art folders and stumbled across this little gem. Several years ago, screamqueen1991 was offering requests, and I got lucky enough to get Grace paired up in a cute and sexy picture with one of her characters, being the cute dhole girl standing to her right in the image. A little while after that, she offered to do a little comic featuring the two of them, and when I said yes, came up with this lovely piece of cover art. Nothing more was ever done with the comic, and I can't complain, because it was a project she was offering to do purely out of the kindness of her heart. That she took it this far was already super sweet of her!

A few months ago, I got to wondering whatever happened to her and looked her page back up. Unfortunately, it seems that she passed on a few years ago. I don't know if it's fair of me to post this, but she doesn't seem to have posted it to her own gallery and I thought it seemed like such a shame that this should never see the light of day. I never knew her personally, she was just an artist whose art I admired, but she was always so kind to me every time we spoke, and her art helped shape Grace's design into what it is today. It's as much from this image, as anything, that Grace gets her fondness for green clothing. So here's to a kind soul gone too soon.

Art and Alex belonged to screamqueen1991

Grace O'Malley belongs to me.

It's always good to find old drawings from way back.

This looks wonderful!

Too bad the comic never came to fruition, but a good imagination can fill in the blanks. ❤️

It's a gorgeous picture! She did some lovely work, and I'm delighted to have this and a few other pictures from her in my collection. I have no idea what she had in mind for the comic itself, but I'm sure it would have been both sexy and cute.

This is all there is, I'm afraid. The artist passed away before she could do any more, but I wanted to post this much in honor of her kindness.

I read that and didn't process it. I've been very absent lately mentally trying to get grading done for school, and then my main job has been working me like a government mule. I am sorry to hear that they passed and we didn't get more of these two together.

It truly is a beautiful piece of art, Mamafox.

Always hurts to see someone in the fandom pass, even more so when it's someone you know. So to be able to share this little piece you had with them gives us a glimpse into how wonderful of a person they truly were; as well as it keeping a little part of them alive for all to see.

It really is a lovely piece, and one of my all time favorites. I confess I didn't know the artist super well. I was mostly just a watcher/fan of her work, and was lucky enough to get some art from her. But she was always super nice, the kind of person who could make you smile just to talk to, so I was quite fond of her nevertheless. And that she did so much for me was beyond kind of her, too. It's sad that she's passed on, but she brought so much joy and kindness to the world, and this community, and I hope that is what she will be remembered for.
