How can you say such things, when the story says the words it does? When a story goes down this path, it's not the guilty that will be paying the price.

I've noticed that people seem to think Luna can only be nurturing and motherly, and that doing cruel things deserves punishment.
But think for a moment. Tree of LIFE: Life is full of Good and Bad, Happiness and Sadness, Justice and Cruelty. Being a representative for life as a whole means that meting out punishment and trials for people to grow or fall from, is entirely within their jurisdiction. We see it as cruel and un-just, but in the real world if something like that happened to someone? Life would go on, It'd suck for them sure, but Life as a whole would continue on without much change.
From my understanding of this, the fact Luna has essentially become a mother and wants to spend time with her adopted children over her duty clouds her own perception as to her purpose. But this doesn't mean the actions she took are wrong. She's simply become more empathetic to the morals of those around her. She knows it's not right. But it still had to be done. As Life does. It moves on.

I didn't say she can't spend time with her children if she is a mother of life, tree of life, whatever she calls herself, if she can't seperate things because her judgment is clouded, or whatever then she needs to step down.
and even then Blinding somebody on purpose is not making them see the right way, it still will be cruel and unjust and there would be many more solutions to have somebody see his errors.
I had a lot of respect for her when the whole story started, but it dwindles more and more until it reaches a point, where I think, she should have her leaves pulled out from her until she is nothing more than a shriveled old tree carcass, then being burned to a crisp.
but that's not up to me, unfortunately.
In the end, this story will go as the artist wants it to go, we just have to see, how it plays out. and maybe I will change my mind about her, who knows.
until then she is just a cruel beeing in my eyes

That's my point! She is guilty! And, the way the storytelling is going... It feels like the price will be paid the innocents instead.
She isn't crying because she's afraid she's going to die. She's crying because she knows those people she care so much for (even Nigel, yes, despite what she did) will soon be marching to their deaths.
In a story shaped like this one? I wouldn't say any price being paid will be anything be unjust suffering.
