I want to make the universe pretty much like real life but if elemental powers were a thing that affected animals and humans to an extent (as far as technology and medicine , etc. ) . So like that it'd be a normal thing, animals evolved over time to combat one another, adapt to environment, and ultimately mellowed out in some regions thanks to human influence. I don't particularly love pokemon, but I adore nature and animals so it's far more fun for me that way and viewers seem to enjoy it too.
