At lunch Tails and Silver sat opposite of each other, Silver told him a little about what they had talked about with Blaze, but not everything as it sometimes felt a bit too personal.
After lunch they went to History class. Silver sat down next to Tails. Silver looked up when Shadow entered the classroom and walked over between the tables. Silver blushed a little but tried to keep their cool, they didn't want to embarrass Shadow.
``Hey,'' Shadow said.
``Hi,'' Silver responded.
``It's good to see you again.''
``It's good to see you too,'' Silver answered, it felt a little awkward but it was nice they were talking again. Shadow smiled at Silver and they smiled back.
``I've kinda missed you,'' Shadow said, scratching the back of his head. Silver blushed a bit more but felt they didn't need to read more into it. If Shadow wanted to be with them it needed to be a clear signal. Shadows walked further to his seat at the back. Silver watched as he took his place, but quickly looked to the front to not make Shadow uncomfortable.

The next morning Silver woke up by the same nightmare and Shadow woke up because of Silver's yelp, but he got used to it now. Silver really felt excited about today as it was just art class with the girl and afterwards they had philosophy, Wednesday was always a great day. Silver put on the dress Shadow gave them. They still didn't feel comfortable wearing girls clothes around Tails and they didn't really want to wear this dress when Shadow was at school, as it would probably feel a little weird.
Silver left for school and was completely surprised to see Tails waiting at the corner. Tails looked Silver up and down. ``That looks good on you,'' he said.
``Well if I knew you were coming I wouldn't have worn it.''
``Why not?''
``Don't you think it's weird?''
``No, not really. I known you for quite some time now, I gotten use to things that are different than what you would expect. But if you feel comfortable in a dress, then you should wear it.''
Silver felt relieved, ``You really are a good friend, you know that right?''
``I do my best,'' Tails replied with a chuckle.
``But what are you going to do at school today, I didn't really expect you to be here,'' Silver said confused.
``I just wanted to run some experiments today and the workshop at school is so extensive, so I wanted to use this free day to try out some new stuff,'' Tails explained.
``Is Shadow at school today as well?'' Silver asked as they spotted his motorcycle next to the school building.
``Yeah, apparently,'' Tails replied. Silver wished they had put on something else.
``Good luck with your experiments,'' Silver shouted at Tails before heading over to art class. Everybody was already early.
``Sorry, am I late?'' Silver asked confused.
``No we were all just very early,'' Mrs Rose said. ``But as the group is already complete let's just start the lesson a bit earlier than usual. Today I had planned to work on lighting.'' She said and handed out some papers. ``For lighting it is important to know it works different than for example, printed colours. When you use ink or paint you can create every colour by using yellow, cyan, magenta, black and white. When you want to create different colours with light you use the colours red, blue and green.''
Silver was taking notes even though this wasn't new to them.
She explained more about what lighting can do for a picture and what kind of story the lighting can tell when you light something from below, above or from the front or back. ``To practise I thought it would be a good idea to go to the theatre hall so we can experiment more with lighting.''
Mrs Rose led them towards the theatre. They all entered but it was pitch-black, you couldn't even see your own hand when you would wave it in front of your eyes. Silver heard some rumbling coming from the stage.
A bright white spotlight turned on and shone on Silver.
``What the..'' Silver said startled and looked around as they couldn't see the girls anywhere, they could only hear them giggle. Silver held up their hand to block the bright light from their eyes, ``What's going on?'' Silver heard the girls shushing each other.
There was a melody coming from the stage, Silver got goosebumps, as they knew this melody. They looked over at the stage but couldn't see anything because of the light. Silver heard a deep and comforting voice.

Another spotlight lit up and shone on Shadow who sat on a stool and looked over at Silver with the microphone in his hand and a handsome smile on his face. Silver started to blush nervously.

Silver felt tears well up and slowly moved towards the stage, the spotlight following them. They laid their hand on their chest as they got closer.

Shadow stood up from the stool and walked down the stairs towards Silver, as his spotlight also moved with him.
``No never before,

Shadow held out his hand towards Silver, which they shyly took. Shadow pulled and spun Silver around to get them closer, with an arm around their waste. As he rocked Silver slowly to the melody of the music. They looked into each others eyes and smiled while they both continued to sing.

Silver rested their head on Shadow's chest as they slowly moved to the music.

As the music faded the song came to an end and Silver pulled back to look at Shadow. He pulled them closer and kissed them, Silver kissed him back as a tear rolled down their cheek. They pulled back and looked at each other with a bright smile on their faces. Shadow used his thumb to brush away Silver's tears and kissed them again.
``This is my favourite song. How did you know.''
``Tails told me,'' Shadow replied. All the other lights went on, the girls and the band members started to applause and whoop. Silver looked over at them with a big grin. Tails flew down from the spotlights above.
``You all knew about this?'' Silver asked surprised as they looked around at everyone. They all smiled and nodded as they came over.
Silver looked back at Shadow.
``So you're okay with it?'' Silver asked hopeful
``I'm sorry it took me so long to realise,'' Shadow whispered, ``But it doesn't matter, you're still the person who I fell for and what you are isn't important to me.''
Silver wrapped their arms around Shadow and hugged them tight, ``I'm so happy you feel that way,'' Silver whispered to him.
``I'm so sorry I made you feel so terrible this past week. I really didn't mean to, I was just confused.''
``Well I'm sorry I hadn't told you earlier,'' Silver said, ``That's why I didn't want to go any further than only kissing, because I wanted to protect you and not regret too much when you found out,'' Silver whispered with a blush, they looked over at Shadow who was grinning.
``So that means I can french kiss you now?'' Shadow whispered so only Silver could hear.
``Not here,'' Silver said as everybody was still looking at them.
``Ow yeah, right,'' Shadow let go of Silver. ``Thank you all so much for helping me out, I really couldn't have done this without your help and input.''
``Of course.''
``Not a problem.''
``How could I say no to such a lovely idea?'' Sonic said.
``Thank you for involving me,'' Mrs Rose said, ``I wouldn't want to have missed this.'' She said clearly touched by the whole scene. ``I don't think I can continue my lesson now, let's just continue next week. I'll leave you two love birds alone,'' She said with a wink and left.
``Yeah I think you two have a lot of catching up to do,'' Sonic said, and looked meaningful at the others, they all nodded and slowly started to leave. Tails looked over at Silver with a smile on his face and nodded approvingly.
As everyone was leaving Shadow picked Silver up and sat them on the edge of the stage and pulled him self up to sit next to them.
``I really can't believe you did all that,'' Silver said amazed.
``I just wanted to make a big gesture, but it was very hard not to say anything about it to you yesterday. I just really wanted it to be special,'' Shadow explained.
``I will never forget this day,'' Silver said with a bright smile on their face.
Shadow looked over at Silver and wrapped an arm around their waist and pulled Silver even closer while biting his bottom lip. His eyes moved from Silver's golden ones down to their lips. Shadow tilted his head slightly when their noses touched. Silver held Shadow's head in their hand as they leaned in and their lips touched passionately. Their hearts were racing as they gave each other small kisses. Silver felt Shadow's tongue licking their upper lip asking permission to enter. Silver slightly opened their mouth and felt Shadow's tongue slip in, Silver's cheeks turned red because they had never experienced this feeling before. Somehow their body started to move on their own as their tongue started to lick Shadow's. They felt Shadow's tongue exploring their mouth, Silver moaned unexpectedly as the feeling Shadow gave them was sensational. Silver wrapped their arms around Shadow's neck to move in even closer. Silver started to breathe heavily through their nose while getting into the kiss even further. Their tongues moved around each other, touching and licking, while Silver couldn't withhold another moan.
The kiss came to an end as they pulled their tongues back and gave a small kiss before moving back. They both breathed, ``Wow.''
