Peregrine and Wyndham run the two main trains that cover Mercia's railways surrounding the great forest and castle town. Peregrine runs the city lines, while Wyndham does the countryside. Hence their different colored outfits and the pins they wear.
Personality
Both tend to be similar in personality. They're polite yet prone to teasing, passionate about their work, and can often finish each other's sentences. The main difference between them is that Peregrine can be a bit more energetic sometimes, while Wyndham has a calmer stance. They tend to not be very animated with speaking. Sometimes they can get a bit hotheaded due to their size and sometimes being mistaken for children.
Likes/Dislikes
Likes: Trains, morning walks, swimming, mixed drinks
Dislikes: being mistaken for children, inclement weather that impacts their job, shopping
Peregrine has the additional issue of hating doing the laundry, which Wyndham handles
Background/History
Both grew up in Lodon, Mercia, where they developed a fascination with trains at a young age. Throughout their childhood years, they'd collect train models and ride them whenever possible. Their interest would lead them to an early apprenticeship on the main steam locomotives, the LMS and the LNER rails.
At first their dislike of shoes and preference of barefooting sparked concern with safety regulations, but after a trial run they were given permission to do so. They've conducted the rails ever since, having worked on the trains for the last ten years. The job allowed them to purchase a large house for themselves, the brothers preferring to stick together.
Relatives/Family
Their parents live in the biggest city in Mercia, being more of the 'hustle and bustle' crowd.
World/Setting
Both live in a large house in a more developed part of the Mercian countryside.

Soles are stained dark gray from coal dust. Both have slightly lighter spots on their arches. Peregrine has a subtle area at the back of his heel less stained due to walking on his toes a little more.
Clothing
On the job, Peregrine and Wyndham wear their uniforms. Suits of crimson and navy respectively, with hats to match. White dress shirts and black ties underneath.
Off the job, sometimes they will wear their uniforms, otherwise they will go naked with just sunglasses on.
Accessories
On the job, the boys are never without their pins, hats, and trusty shovels. Off the job, they barely ever have anything on their person.
