Looking good here, happy to see this again. You know, this story caught my interest originally, and got me to join along on Ink Bunny. Glad I did, too. Its a very cool story and always happy to see more of it. Going to look forward to next installment again.

Adam is referring to when Jenny burst into the room when Chucky and Nimsha were about to share a beer. Jenny scared Nimsha away, but Chucky stood up to her. So 'faced down' refers to Chucky confronting Jenny and not backing off.

One thing I like about your characters is as the story progresses they become more complex and have more and more background information to look back on for future reference. like a good soap opera, that has years of character growth among other good details.

Poor Chucky. Been there myself in the past. Teacher chews you out hardcore, then calls you after class trying to be all buddy buddy when no one is looking. :P Hate that. Though to be fair, they probably felt my "HEAT BEAM EYE BLASTS OF HATE" burning a hole through their face. XD
