Greetings. So first of all, this upload is a little experiment, on how my new marketing idea works. it's basicly, just putting an advertisement for my Patreon into my uploads next to the pictures. But with the trick of using the main uploads Thumb for it, so maybe some people might click on it. Something that will only work here on IB right now...
Now I will still post everything public and I will still make everything the way I did. On payed comissions I won't add this banner and on comic not on every page but maybe every third. I would love your feedback on this, because I reached over 2.5 K followers and "just" have 2 Patreons with not even 10 bucks total. If at least every fifth follower would donate just one buck, I would have far less problems in life. And still I come home from work, I am tired and less motivated and try to force myself to drawing my comics, so you can be happy. A bit less sorrows on the money term would actualy help a lot.
Anyways. This is an experiment and I would like your honest oppinion about it.
EDIT: Okay it turns out, that some people might have set up their inkbunny account that they don't display "custom thumbnails" but instead the "original image" wich means that instead of the sticker, they see my banner on their subs, my account, or the frontpage. How many of you have this problem? Is it just a few users, or like the standart setup? if so, all of this is already failed (out of my view)
the upload itself is just another sticker for my sticker pack. It's spongebobs "waiting in diner" meme.
For those who don't do custom thumbnails, maybe you could make a little watermark with your Patreon address and stick it one corner of an image? If it's not too obtrusive, I think that could work nicely.
In any case, I do like the idea of using thumbnails to promote your Patreon the way you've described. It could potentially help get you some more attention in that arena, and if the thumbnail is from the regular image, too, I don't think most folks would have a problem with it. At least I hope not.
Can't hurt to try, anyway, right?

Hmm, I clearly didn't understand your new method. FWIW, I see the thumbnail of the sticker both on my notifications, on your gallery page and twice on this submission page. And because the sticker is image 1, that also applies when I click the "show original thumbnails" button -- though then I see the Patreon blurb as the second thumbnail.
However, going into the submission and seeing two identical thumbnails, I might not bother to click on the second. On the other hand, I might get curious about what the difference was. Win some, lose some.

Yes because someone had complained that he set up to show the original image instead of a thumbnail. Therefor the patreon banner was shown in his "new Submissions" and noone would click on that.
So I already changed it to be the second image instead. Hoping that people will wonder what the "second version of the pic" is to find out it's the banner.
But I am also changing my plans further right now, to make 2 versions of the "picture" thou one is a bit larger and has the add on the upper edge of the pic. The second version will be the pure pic.
