Page # 1 & 2. Here is an exploration team consisting of anthro-animals from Planet Earth.
The planet is in a different star system, though this is a day and time when Planet Earth has rockets that can fly over the course of light years in a matter of weeks. A tracked shuttle is also being lowered out of the ship for mobility on the region of the planet where they landed.

Page # 3. This planet was once an Earth like planet until 25 million years ago. It use to have forests, fields, oceans, lakes and rivers, and the atmosphere was rich in oxygen. There were plants, trees, animals both anthro and non-anthro.
There were at one time cities, highways and the other things that an advanced civilization typically has.
However, after 25 million years, all evidence that life had once existed on the planet had deteriorated away a long time ago. The atmosphere now days is mostly chlorine, nitrogen and ammonia gases, and there are no known traces of water. The exploration team has no clue that life ever existed on the planet.
The former inhabitants more than 25 million years ago named their planet Lyreen. The planet's two moons were called Sabia, the white moon...and Clayone, the redish tan moon.

Page # 4. This is earlier in the month before the mission arrived to the planet. The moons appear in crescent phase.

What is linked below happened 3 days before the mission arrived. The members of the exploration team are very lucky. Had the mission arrived three days ago, the mission would have become a disaster.
Atmospheric Explosion on a Distant Planet  MP-4 by moyomongoose

While drawing the rocket and crew, I was listening to a song as inspiration that goes well with the fate of the inhabitants of 25 million years ago.

As for inspiration from the fate of Mars, somewhat.

The first posting of it from a few years ago I have in my main account was in response to SoFurry changing their cub policy.

This could happen to Earth in one of two ways. One, we screw it up further, two when the sun changes.

Or if a big enough asteroid struck it.

I made an improvement.
When I originally posted the drawing, I didn't think to provide a place at the top of the landing leg wells for the pods at the ends of the legs to fit into while the rocket is in flight. That's what the rounded tops of the leg wells are for.
