Kanya enjoyed plants. They were simple. You couldn't get any emotional attachments to any of them. When one died, there were dozens more just like it to take its place. That way, there was always enough plants to love and admire. Kanya was dutiful in taking care of the plants she cultivated and harvested - sometimes with her own powers and other times through more natural means. Plants couldn't let her down or leave her feeling lonely. She wished more people would have more respect for plants.
