It's a new year, and you know what that means: One Week, One-PIece (OWOP) 2023 should be pinned on your calendar! If it isn't, the event will be taking place on July 2nd thru July 8th this year.
If you would like to participate this year, I strongly encourage you to start thinking of ideas and maybe reaching out to your artist of choice (if you are commissioner) in the next couple months, just so it's on everyone's radar. To help everyone out, here is my fully-fleshed suggestion of how to go about planning:
* By the end of February, have your idea for this year solidified. * By the end of April, make sure you have an artist on board (if you are a commissioner) and any permissions you might need from others. * By June 19th, I recommend having your artwork complete by this date (let the artist know way ahead of time) so that it can be ready to post on the first week of July; otherwise, it should be well underway! * By the end of June, make sure you've got your post ready to go up between July 2nd and July 8th!
Please note that this is just a recommended schedule so that you or anyone you are working with is not pressured. The point is to have fun. If you are working with other people, please be sure to let them know what the event is about and when the submission is supposed to be posted. You can direct them to this post, if you'd like.
If you have any questions, please read below or comment / PM me. I'll also be posting reminders that line up with that schedule I outlined above. Till then, enjoy the new year!
