I'm sure you have experience with stolen art of your own and it peeves when it occurs, it's usually not done properly or to one's liking, but honestly this one just wanted to share a cute unikitty (someone else sketched and didn't finish) with us that they think they colored in well. Not much different than a child showing off to their parent a coloring they did in a coloring book when you think about it. (Believe me this is not a naive/ignorant perspective to take, I've been browsing sites like this since pre-2010)
Now I'm not a unikitty fan but I'm a fan of rasile and you, yet I see this as just okay. Why can't we get back to a point where works based on official characters are just free game again? I know you're not personally like that but some people love to get so (for lack of a better word) anal about problems that aren't necessarily there own that they habitually go out their way to discredit and heckle strangers over it. Again I'm not saying that's not you, it was just in your heart that day to write this i'm sure.
If not, I'm a little curious your opinion about people coloring sketch works after the accounts that have long since gone silent or even accounts of the "cancelled" or resigned such as Tato (FA)

It's using someone else's work without permission. It's lazy and disrespectful. Some people stop posting because they don't want their art spread anymore, and if they aren't really active in the community they can't defend their copyright as easily. That is EXACTLY why leeches tend to use sketches from "a while ago" and "from artists that aren't active". Otherwise why not ask an active artist to use one of their sketches? Why not ask at all? If it's just for fun, why post it? To top it all off, I'm telling him I know for a FACT he does not have permission and it's disrespectful, and here it is. Still up. So its not ignorance, it's fully intentional. If you ever had your hard work lazily scribbled over, and reposted as someone else's work, you might have a better understanding. Like I said before, this is also against the site's rules. You can only post work made FOR or BY you, and this is neither. It's a coloring page that maybe could be put on a fridge but not here.

Again, I refuse to believe you're the bitter type to be so worried about others' art piracy that you make "hunting and reporting" a regular habit. (maybe you're the type that likes to rant bc your pfp is a borking dog) Maybe rasile is someone you respect, maybe you like you some unikitty and by coincidence ended up clicking just to find out it was "stolen" art, felt like venting atm. maybe you are just peeved about previous events on your own art- I DON'T KNOW. I'm just some stranger who clicked here cause I thought the art was cute, and I collect cute artwork. That's it. My eyes don't care who owns what. Sure knowing where your art comes from is a important but even more important is not to let yourself be worked up with trying to solve the impossible. Instead to embrace the hidden fame you inevitably receive.
copyright is an open option for all. they fall under an official categories of laws that don't apply here on IB like a creative commons would. I guess if it's the site rules, though I've never bothered to look into ALL of them, you're the wrong guy to talk to about this. No point in saying much on what I think when you care about such things enough to know why they joined this site and post here more than other sites.
Other points, it's assuming intent to say that it's exactly why artists would take advantage of others' artwork. On the contrary I hardly see anyone take advantage of dancie's sketches on FA vs Tato who simply gets around more with commissions. sure some people leave and don't have the option to hide what they own from the world anymore, but that's rarely always the case. Old users that have left tend to be abandoned by the community for inactivity. Like bad friends they'll start to forget you the moment they realize you've been gone a while. Chances are the users forgot what sites they used to hang around as well. We all know old sites we lost interest in and forgot exist.
It is a rule of them that what you post on the internet stays. What's not said is that it really stays in someone else's possession, metaphorically or otherwise by posting elsewhere to be manipulated by them. Unless explicitly states by some law-abiding documentation/e-documentation it is not owned by you anymore. And it basically comes down to individual ethics and what crowd you want to run with. Nobody's going to forget who owns what. If they don't know who made it, they didn't try to find out (they're probably kids or newbs to not know). Giving any credit is a courtesy when an infinite number of reposts, by others less respectful, could exist out there.
