The lights danced overhead as a young fox boy wearing a blue striped kimono weaved through the crowd getting a look at all the stalls that lined the street as a voice came ringing behind him, "Ion, slow down, wait for me to catch up" a woman wearing a pink floral kimono said calling out to the boy who pointed to an object on one of the stalls, "I know you are feeling better now but you still don't want to overdo it" Ionia continued in a soft voice as she gave him the candy apple he was pointing to and paid the stall clerk. Ion quickly unwrapped his little treat and started taking small bites of the caramel coated apple, which made Ionia smile, her son didn't really have many friends, if at all any, being the Overseer's son may have affected that to some degree but he was also somewhat a sickly child which also made things difficult, she was hoping after his latest procedure things would hopefully be getting better now. Even so, giving him just a little bit of joy with even just a candy warmed her heart a bit, with all he had to go through and put up with, making him happy is all she wanted, "there you two are" another voice came from the crowd as a taller male fox wearing a night sky themed kimono came over to the mother and son, "I was still walking towards the event stage when I noticed you both disappeared, something like magic" he said with a chuckle, "sorry hun, but you know how your son is" Ionia answered pulling Ion closer to her side, him still eating the candy apple, "indeed, he is quite adventurous, though it is a good trait for a boy like him to have" Ivan said as he placed a hand on Ionia's side giving her a look with a small smile, she turned her head up towards him and eyed him back, Ivan was about to whisper something in her ears but he then noticed Ion's eyes were pointing up at them as he continued munching on his treat, "hey, why don't we get back to the festival" Ivan said as he bent down and picked up Ion and placed him on his shoulders, making Ionia giggle a bit, "come on now, if we hurry, we won't miss the show" Ivan said as he ran ahead carrying Ion who started to laugh himself, Ionia followed behind, continually smiling at the joy those tow seamed to be having, the happiness she felt spending this time together as a family
