In a 45 part story I have titled "Clarence Coyote and Project Courier", 8 year old Clarence Coyote accidentally went back to 1960 in a time travel machine and was stranded there for about 6 months due to damage done to the time machine. A coyote family in 1960 adopted Clarence being it was a time before his parents and grand parents were born.
After scientists in 1960 managed to repair the time machine with the technology of that day and time, they teach Clarence how to properly operate the machine. Clarence is then sent back to his home day and time of the year 2018. During Clarence's journey back to 2018 to be reunited with his biological family, images and sounds of events between 1960 and 2018 appear aboard the machine as holographic images as a result of travelling through time.
