This dolphin happened across an underwater cave, and he's thinking about whether to explore it. There could be treasure in there, but there would also be a real risk of getting lost and drowning... Will he decide it's worth the danger?

Also including a version where he's got goggles. He may not need them, but doesn't he look cuter with them?

If I were this guy, I'd probably ask around for information about the cave instead of just blindly swimming in.

squirtlerocks07 and I did an RP based on this.

S: deep down on a dive in the ocean, a dolphin was happily swimming around, just minding their own business, until...they seem to spot what looks like a cave... they think there could be treasure inside but is having a hard time deciding if it's worth it or not... nearby, a Drizzile was swimming around, blowing some bubbles as they see the dolphin floating at the entrance to the cave, curious they swim over and tap on them to get their attention

L: The dolphin jumps a little at the tap, being taken out of his train of thought. "Oh, hi. Do you know anything about this cave? Sort of wondering whether exploring it might be a good idea..."

S: the Drizzile's face was a tiny bit red as it was down here for a bit, bit they respond
"Hmm, this cave? No I don't think so...I don't really explore caves honestly"

L: "Makes sense, I don't make a habit of that either. Usually too worried about drowning. But, this time... I don't know, it just feels different for some reason."

S: "Different? What makes you say that? Usually caves just waste your time, and your air...I've never drowned before and I don't really wanna experience it"

L: "I don't normally want to risk it either. I don't really know how to explain what's different this time... But, I think I'll go in. Just have to go get a breath first." The dolphin starts to swim back to the surface.

S: "Are you insane!? Hey wait for me!" the drizzile follows the dolphin up to the surface, and once they both get there and gasp for air

L: "I know this sounds like a really bad idea, but I can't help being so curious! I'll be careful, I'll make sure to keep good track of the way out."

S: the drizzile stops for a moment to think, then sighs
"If your gonna go in that cave, at least take me with you so your not alone in there"

L: "That'd be nice, having someone with me should help me keep calm in there. And hey, if there's something cool in there, maybe we could split it!"

S: "I guess that could work...as much as I'm very scared to go in there, oh by the way never introduced myself, I'm a Drizzile, but my friends like to call me RainDrop, what's your name?"

L: "I'm Depth. Not quite sure what a drizzile is, but you do look pretty interesting."

S: "Depth huh? Cool name! And yeah, drizziles are quite interesting, I'm a pokemon in case your wondering what sort of creature I am or something, you do know what pokemon is right?"

L: "Ah, yep, I've heard of Pokemon before, you're just a kind I haven't seen until now."

S: "Well, drizziles aren't very common, there isn't many of us around, so it would make sense that you don't know my species"

L: "Yeah, with you having legs, drizziles are probably more of a dry land thing. Anyway, you ready to get started with that cave?"

S: "Actually, I'm better off in the water, I'm a water type pokemon after all, I actually go pretty slow on land...anyways...yeah as much as I don't wanna, I don't want you to be all alone in that cave"

L: "Right. We'd better actually prepare for this, just in case..." Depth starts taking deep breaths.

S: "Yeah... what's your best breath hold time? Mine is about 40 minutes, being a water type helps" RainDrop starts to take deep breaths as well

L: "Oh wow, nice! My best is only 28 minutes, but I don't imagine that'll be an issue."

S: "That's not too bad, I average around 30 or so minutes every dive so we should be good for a while...just as long as my anxiety doesn't strike"

L: "It's good that we're both pretty good at breath holding... Alright, I'm ready!" Depth holds his breath and dives.

S: RainDrop however, didn't dive...he was pretty scared since he's never explored a cave before

L: It takes Depth a moment to realize he's alone, and he returns to the surface. "You're still nervous about this, aren't you?"

S: "Y-yeah...very much so, I'm so nervous! I don't wanna get lost in the cave and end up drowning and never seeing the fresh air again! It's all terrifying!"

L: "I really don't blame you, I'm still a bit nervous too. But, I'm pretty sure this is going to be worth the trip!"

S: "I don't know about that honestly... are you sure you really wanna do this? Change your mind at all?"

L: "I do still want to do this! I know how dangerous it is, but I'll be really careful in there, and I'll help you stay safe too."

S: "Ugh, fine! We'll go then, but if something happens to us I blame it on you!"

L: "We should be fine, don't worry..." Depth starts preparing for a second time.

S: RainDrop does as well, hoping I'll go better then the first time around

L: Eventually, once he's ready again, Depth holds his breath and dives again, hoping RainDrop will follow this time.

S: thankfully, RainDrop holds his breath and dives under this time, his cheeks puffing up a bit

L: "There you go! Now, let's go see what that cave's got for us..." Depth swims down back toward the cave.

S: "R-right" RainDrop swims down deeper with Depth, hoping this whole thing will be worth it in the end

L: Depth does hesitate for a moment at the cave's entrance... But, keeping himself calm, he finally swims inside.

S: "Depth!" RainDrop on the other hand, didn't go inside, he was very scared, even shivering in fear

L: "It'll be fine, come on!" Depth pauses to look back at RainDrop.

S: RainDrop whimpers fearfully, letting some small bubbles loose, he really was scared

L: Depth swims back over to RainDrop. "We'll be okay, nothing bad's gonna happen to us in there..." He gives them a hug with his flippers.

S: RainDrop blushes a tiny bit at the hug, before he of course hugs Depth back
"I-im sorry...I'm just so scared! I get scared very easily too..."

L: "You still don't have to come with me if you don't want to... I'll be fine on my own, and I'll make sure to let you know what I find."

S: "No! It's gonna bug me if I don't know what's going on with you... I need to come along...I...just need to be brave!"

L: "And you don't know whether we might find something cool in there, too! Maybe even better than typical treasure, but I'm not really sure."

S: "I guess that's true, and I know we'll protect each other if anything goes wrong...you seem like a very good dolphin"

L: "Thanks! And you seem like a pretty good drizzile!" Depth lets out some happy squeaks.

S: RainDrop blushes a tad bit more and smiles
"Aww shucks! Thanks Depth! You know what, let's do this! Let's conquer this cave, together!" he extends his hand to depth's flipper

L: Depth smiles and holds out his flipper so RainDrop can hold it. "With both of us going at once, I think we'll both be able to keep calm better!"

S: RainDrop happily holds Depth's flipper, smiling back
"I think so too, now come on...let's do it! You and me!"

L: With a nod, Depth starts swimming back into the cave, bringing RainDrop with him.

S: this time, RainDrop was brave and went into the cave, nervously looking around

L: There isn't really anything to see at this point in the cave, but Depth keeps heading in deeper as he looks around for anything interesting.

S: RainDrop hopes for something cool to be in the cave, but there's still isn't anything yet

L: There does seem to be a faint light up ahead, though its source is around a corner and not yet visible. Curious about it, Depth starts heading that direction.

S: RainDrop quickly follows, not knowing what the light could be

L: Once it comes into view, the two find that the source of the light is a glowing orb floating in the middle of a large room, almost like a tiny sun! In addition, there's a reef throughout most of the room!

"Woah, what!? This is so cool!"

S: "What the heck!? Omg! I want expecting this! So cool!"

RainDrop's face is a tiny bit red but he's more then ok

L: "I told you it'd be worth it to check this place out!" Depth swims around the underground reef, taking in the sights. He's blushing some too, more than RainDrop, but he clearly doesn't mind yet.

S: RainDrop swims around too
"Wow! This place is incredible! I wonder if there's any exotic creatures living here!"

L: "I bet there is, this place is a lot different from anywhere I've seen outside!" Depth searches for any sort of animals he doesn't recognize.

S: RainDrop does too, wondering if there's anything cool hidden in this place and hoping they would have enough air to explore this place entirely

L: Before long, they do come across an odd animal: Something that sort of looks like a seal with some bird features, like feathers and a beak! It looks just as surprised to see the two as they are.

Seal-bird creature: "Oh! Um... Hello."

Depth: "Woah, I didn't expect anyone here to be able to talk!"

S: "Wow...look at that creature...it certainly looks a little...well bizarre, what are you?"

L: Seal-bird creature: "Honestly, you two look more bizarre to me... I'm a haklon."

Depth: "I've... Never heard of that. Cool!"

S: "Neither have I, but they sound cool! I'm guess your probably wondering who were are huh?"

L: Haklon: "Yeah, I've never seen anything like you two!"

Depth: "Well, I'm a dolphin, and he's a drizzile - which I actually only first learned about earlier!"

S: "Hehe, yeah...but our real names are, I'm RainDrop and he's Depth, it's nice to officially meet you!"

L: Haklon: "Well, it's nice to meet you two! My name is Rindi."

Depth: "Alright, cool! Um... Is there air around here?"

S: "Yeah, me and Depth are air breathers and can't breathe down here, but we can hold our breathes for a while, some air tho would be nice"

L: Rindi: "Oh, you too, huh? Yeah, there's air pockets under the reef in little tunnels, the plants here keep them fresh."

Depth: "Nice, we don't have to keep leaving and coming back! I guess you must be an air breather as well, huh?"

S: "If you said you too then I would assume your an air breather as well, and that's kind of nice to know it's always fresh in the air pockets"

L: Rindi: "Yep, I breathe air like you guys do. It's a little annoying, but at least I don't really have to do it that much."

Depth: "Speaking of that, how long can you hold your breath? My best is about 28 minutes."

S: "And mine is about 40 minutes, pretty impressive huh?"

L: Rindi: "Wait, that's IT? I was assuming you were WAY better, I can go for most of a day!"

Depth: "Woah, for real!?"

S: "What?! Most of the day!? Man I'm jealous I thought my breath hold time was impressive!"

L: Depth: "So did I, I'm actually really good for a dolphin..."

Rindi: "I guess it's just a perk of being what I am and living here... It's not just this room, you know, this connects to a HUGE cave system."

S: "Huh?? Seriously?? Me and depth have never been inside a cave before so we wouldn't know"
RainDrop's face turns a bit more red

L: Depth: "Y-yeah, this is our first... Mmmgh..." He covers his mouth with a flipper for a moment, his face fully red.

Rindi: "Oh, right, I should show you guys where the nearest air pocket is! Come with me!" He starts leading the two along.

S: "Thanks rindi" RainDrop pinches his nose shut before he follows them

L: It's thankfully a fairly short trip through a little tunnel before the air pocket comes into view. Depth quickly swims to it, gasping through his blowhole, while Rindi casually follows.

S: RainDrop swims up into the air pocket too and gasps lightly for air
"Ahhh, much better"

L: Rindi: "Figured I'd get a breather too, it's been a couple hours. Anyway, you guys just visiting? Or do you plan on going deeper?"

Depth: "Well, now that we know this goes deeper, not really sure..."

S: "Yeah me neither, on one hand I wanna see what other goodies we can find, but on the other hand, my fears say nope this is far enough"

L: Rindi: "It's a long swim to get to anything else you guys might find interesting, and with such short breath holding times, I don't blame you for being nervous."

Depth: "Yeah, maybe we'll just head out for now... But, it was cool to meet you, Rindi!"

S: "As much as I wanna see what's up ahead, yeah I agree with depth, we should go...but it was great to meet you Rindi" he opens his arms
"Want a hug?"

L: Rindi: "...Maybe? I don't know what that is."

Depth: "Yikes, you don't know what a hug is?"

S: "What?! How could you not know what a hug is?! Only the most amazing thing ever! All you do is wrap your arms around the other person, trust me it feels really good!"

L: Rindi experimentally swims to RainDrop and awkwardly hugs them. "Like this?"

Depth: "Yep, exactly like that!" He joins in on the hug.

S: "Exactly!" RainDrop hugs Rindi back, making this first hug for him memorable as they hug for a while

L: Rindi slowly smiles, clearly warming up to the concept of hugs. "I definitely need to introduce this to my friends, this is nice..."

Depth: "I'm sure they'll all like this too!"

S: "Yeah! I think they will! Hugging is great! It not only feels good, but can help calm you down if you have those fears lingering up in you"

L: Depth: "It really helped out RainDrop earlier when he was too scared to come in here."

Rindi: "I don't get scared easily, but I'll try to keep that in mind."

S: "Hey, it still helps...anyways, I guess we should get outta here then huh? Thanks for showing us around rindi, I hope we meet again soon"

L: Depth: "Yeah, maybe next time we can go deeper in together!"

Rindi: "I hope we do! See you!" He swims away deeper into the cave system.

S: "Bye!" RainDrop waves goodbye
"Welp, only one thing left to do depth" he holds his hand out to Depth
"Ready to get outta here?"

L: Depth: "Yep, time to get going. Should be an easy trip, we won't need to actually prepare." He holds out a flipper so RainDrop can hold it.

S: "Right yeah" RainDrop's takes Depth's flipper before taking a single gasp and holding it before diving back underwater, taking Depth with him

L: Depth holds his breath and swims back toward the cave's exit with RainDrop, taking one last look at the reef before continuing on.

S: RainDrop looks back at it too before they swim to the exit, getting there quickly and starting to swim up towards the surface

L: Thankfully, it's a fairly short swim to get to the surface, and Depth exhales once he and RainDrop get there. "So... Worth the potential danger, right?"

S: RainDrop exhales as well
"Well, yeah I guess so...we didn't get into any trouble...I really thought we would...thank goodness we didn't"

L: "And now we've gotten a new friend from it! I'll definitely revisit that place sometime, I want to learn more about it."

S: "Same here, welp...thanks for being a great dive partner, I gotta get going, my friends are waiting for me, catch you later!"

L: "See you again sometime, RainDrop!" With one more breath, Depth dives back underwater.

S: "Bye depth!" RainDrop then swims back to shore to meet up with his friends, happy to have done some exploring today
