Before Pokémon was established in the US, it was believed that American kids wouldn't want to play games with a lot of text.  And the first time the designs were shown, the developers were told they were "too cute."

The American staff submitted their own replacement designs, but the developers were in disbelief of what they came up with.  "They turned Pikachu into something like a tiger with huge breasts. It looked like a character from the musical Cats."

Naturally, I was curious what such a thing would look like.  So, I commissioned the general idea.  I decided to give Pikachu the black heart symbol that Cosplay Pikachu has on her tail.  She's has that Pikachu chub.  And of course she would have the huge breasts. XD
