"Come on Alec!"

"No."

Despite the Fox's pleas, Alec continued to ignore Him as he sat down, flipping his laptop open and turning it on.

"I just want-"

"No."

"At least liste-"

"No."

"Look I want to-"

"No."

"But-"

"Leave Me Alone."

Tails Gritted his teeth, He was growing more annoyed by the second.

Once He had enough, He grabbed the fennecs laptop and shut it. "I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHY YOU HATE ME SO MUCH!!"

Alex Huffed, Crossing his arms. "Wouldn't You like to know."

"Of course!" Tails nearly shouted. This was getting seriously annoying!!

He calmed himself down before speaking up again. "Look, I just want to know WHY you hate me is all. Frankly, I don't understand why, I mean we got the same interests in machinery. and Concepting amazing things... so why?"

"..."

Alec just sat there, Unresponsive. Soon He bent his head down before sighing.

"Like You would understand..." He would mutter. It was a quiet whisper-like one.

Despite that, Tails still heard it. He cocked his head to the scoffing fennec. "Huh?"

The room was filled with awkward silence for a few seconds before Alec replied. "Do You know what it's like to not be acknowledged, For yourself?"

as He got up, He walked over to the fox slowly, continuing to speak. "Do you know what it's to be continuously COMPARED?!"

Tails flinched back a bit at the boom in voice. Despite having differences in height. That didn't stop the fox from being all feared at his anger as their eyes met, Angry ones meeting surprised ones.

"I LIKE inventing." Alec put his hands on his own chest. "But Each time I showed people my creations, My dabbles, my ideas, And all that?" He then began to pretend he was others, with a mocking voice. "Oooh! Taking inspiration from Tails I see!" Or "Hah! Tails would definitely make that!" just Tails this, Tails That, Tails, Tails, TAILS!!"

The fox just stayed silent, listening to Him.

Alec clenched his fists. "Every time I make something, I always, always, Always, Always, ALWAYS have to be compared to YOU!! It gives me NO IDENTITY! Like Can You even Imagine that?!"

Alec could feel his voice getting heavy. He could feel his fast heartbeat. And Hell, He could feel the water droplets in His eyes.

But He didn't care. "Nobody acknowledges Me for my own self anyway, Whether In Here or Out there! So imagine for me, Tails."

Despite the stream of tears that had begun to weep on his face, He simply ignored that as He looked at Tails. He looked worried, But that did fuck all for Alec.

He opened his mouth once more:

"What's it likes For your only source of Acknowledgement or is to be compared like a third rate, to someone infinitely better?"

....

It was just like that, The room was dead silent again. It was like as If Death itself was in the room to reap away said place.

Many things processed in Tails mind throughout Alec's words. One of the many things being the first one:

("Like You'd Understand.")

It... was his fault?

He reached out, Raising a hand, He touched Alec's Head. "...Alec-"

Quickly, It was slapped off. "Don't touch me."

Tails inwardly hissed as it stung.

It was then that Alec took His leave. Going past Tails, Alec ran out.

Tails Called out. "A-Alec!"

and it was responded. "J-Just leave me alone!!"

SLAM!

....

Watching Him leave, The Kit grew on a sad look. All this time, Alec suffered? and it was the cause of him...

He could only Mutter out:

"Alec..."

[...]

After His rant to Tails, Alec left the base for some fresh air. As He walked into the forest, It didn't take long before his walks fastened, and then he was running.

He only stopped when he was assured to be far away, stopping near a boulder that seemed to be halved.

There, He walked towards the halved Boulder and sat down on it. He lowered his head with His hands raised to the top of his head, clutching it softly.

Besides the ambiance, the forest was pretty much silent...

Well, Until soft sniffling occurred.

Alec clenched His teeth in anger while tears slipped out, Falling out of his eyes and down to the ground.

He hated this.

He hated feeling so... so...

so...

Pathetic.

"H-Heh..."

After some silence, Alec finally spoke up. the voice was still hoarse while his face had a combined expression of Hate, Pity, and Embarrassment.

But at Himself.

His lips curved up into a little "Smile". A Smile that looks soft and light. A Smile that would dignify, being "Okay".
But for the smartest, It could be easily seen as a fake by anyone who could tell with ease.

and despite the smile, Tears continued to fall out.

"I-I'm such an embarrassm-ment..." out came off his lips in mutters, The pain of what he felt leaked out in tone, Repeating what he had heard what others said behind his back, again and again. "J-Just a l-loser is all I am..."

His mind was Flashed with the insults they gave.

A Loser

A Third rate.

A Failure.

Gritting His teeth, He brought down His head and huddled his body as he cried.

Whether He heard them or not, He knew that's how they Felt.

No, He knew that's how They ALL felt about him.

"I-I hate myself..."

"B-But Why?"

Alec's eyes widened upon that voice. His eyes widened even more as a water tentacle came out of nowhere, Touching His cheeks and eyes and instantly wiping away all the tears.

once the water tails moved away, Alec felt his face. His face was clean?

"A-Are You Okay?" He heard the familiar voice speak once again, Worry in their tone. "I-I'm sorry if I'm bothering You, A-Alec..."

Alec narrowed His eyes at the figure calling him by His name, How did he know that?

He decided enough was enough and Raised His head, Facing the Figure, Who was Kitsunami!

Alec was surprised, to say the least. "K-Kit!"

Kit, However, Chuckled shyly and sheepishly smiled. "H-Hiya there...!"
