A month later, Sonic was in the kitchen making breakfast. Shadow and Silver were sitting at the table waiting while Imani was sitting in her high-chair drawing pictures. He made his famous breakfast which included; bacon, eggs, sausage, waffles and hash browns. The smell of the food make Shadow and Silvers mouth water. When Sonic brought the food to the table, the fellas dug right in. Then he say down and began feeding Imani some oatmeal that he made for her. After making sure that the baby was fed, he went and ate some breakfast himself.
"I suddenly gained a big appetite." Sonic said as he sat at the table.
As soon as Sonic was stuffing his face full of food, he started to feel really weird. Almost like his stomach did a full 180 turn.
"Ummmm excuse me.... I'll be right back."
Shadow looked at Sonic running to the bathroom and knew something just wasn't right.
"Wait Sonic what's wrong? I'm coming with you." Shadow said as he followed Sonic
Silver was really confused when he saw Sonic and Shadow running to bathroom, then he looked over at Imani and saw she was drinking her juice.
'Sometimes I worry about those two.' Silver thought to himself. "Anyway, come on Imani let's go play."
Imani raised her arms up, Silver picked her up and took her to the living room to play. Upstairs Sonic was sitting on the floor over the toilet throwing up and Shadow was trying to comfort him.
"Sonic are you alright?" Shadow asked worried.
"Eh... I think so... I think I either ate too much or too fast." Sonic said while cleaning his face.
"Some how I don't think food has anything to do with it."
"Okay... If its not food what do you think it is then?"
"Well.... This past month you've fainted, had cravings, slept all day, mood swings, and just now you puked.... Sonic I'm afraid that.... you might be pregnant."
Sonics face just went completely blank from what Shadow just said. Then his expression changed and he became really angry.
"...... You knew this was gonna happen.... DIDN'T YOU!?" Sonic screamed
"O_O'....."
"DIDN'T YOU?!?!?!"
"N-no No I swear.... Sonic I didn't know."
"<shakes his head> Your lying.... You DID know."
Sonic threw a punch at Shadow but ending up hitting the wall when Shadow dodged him. Sonic looked to see where Shadow went and found him standing right behind him against the wall.
"Sonic calm down please... I swear I didn't know." Shadow said in fear.
"Sigh... I'm sorry I didn't mean to get so angry. However I guess this a wonderful thing, I'm pregnant with our second child."
Shadow walked over to the blue hedgehog, pulled him close and hugged him.
"It's ok Sonic... I know it was just the mood swings talking."
Later that afternoon, Sonic and Shadow were living room watching t.v., Sonic was laying on the couch and Shadow was sitting on the floor. Then suddenly, Silver came downstairs from putting Imani down for a nap.
"Hey you guys.... Is everything ok? Sonic are you sick or something?" Silver asked as he sat in a chair next to the couch.
"Yeah everythings just fine Silver and no I'm not sick. Matter of fact I'm as healthy as I can be." Sonic said laughing.
"Then what's wrong?"
Sonic and Shadow both looked at each other, smiled and looked back at Silver.
"I'm pregnant." Sonic said with a smile
Four months later, not only was Imani talking, she was walking as well. One day Imani was walking upstairs until she saw Shadow come out of his and Sonics bedroom.
"Daddy.... Where's mommy?" Imani asked when she yanked on Shadows hand.
Mommy's laying down resting.... You wanna go see her?" Shadow asked as he picked up his baby girl.
<nods>
"Well go in... Just try not to make too much noise ok."
"Yes daddy."
Imani walked into the bedroom and saw that Sonic was asleep. She walked over to him and tapped him on the arm.
"Mommy?"
"Huh?.... Oh hey Imani honey."
"Mommy sleepy?"
"Yawwwn.... Yeah alittle."
Imani looked over and noticed Sonics big belly. She puts her hand on it, and laid her head against it.
"You see Mommas belly Imani?... This is gonna be your younger brother or sister."
The next day, Sonic was walking around the house bored. So he decided to head outside for some fresh air. Once he got outside and began walking down the path, he noticed three baby wolf cubs and their mother. The cubs were playing around wrestling each other while the mom was watching them. One of the cubs saw Sonic and walked over to him. Sonic knelt down and began petting the little guy.
"Awww you're a cute fella."
As Sonic was playing with the baby wolf, the other wolf cubs saw how much fun their sibling was having and wanted to be part of it. A few minutes later, the mother wolf happened to look up and noticed her cubs were gone. She got really worried and looked around to find out where her babies went. Finally, she saw that her cubs were playing with Sonic up ahead. Sonic happened to notice the mother wolf walking towards him. At first, he wanted to run away, but figured that if he stayed and showed her that he's no threat, everything will be alright. Sonic slowly stuck his hand out to the mother wolf so she can pick up his sent. When she finally realized that she and her babies were not in danger, she was able to relax. So she sat next to Sonic and laid her head on his lap.
Back in the house, Silver was playing with Imani when Shadow showed up from upstairs.
"Silver have you seen Sonic anywhere?" Shadow asked.
"<shakes his head> No I haven't seen him."
"Imani, do you know where mommy is?"
"Mommy outside."
"O_o.... Why is he outside?"
Shadow went over to the window and saw that Sonic was outside but he was not alone. Shadows face went completely pale when saw that a family of wolves were near his pregnant hedgehog. Soon as Shadow was about to walk out there to get him, he saw that Sonic was walking towards the house.
"Hey Shadz." Sonic said as he walked into the house and kissed the black hedgehog on the cheek.
"Sonic what were you doing with that family of wolves?" Shadow asked as he folded his arms.
"What?... I was just playing with the babies nothing happened."
"Yes...., But what if something did happen?! What if that mother wolf decided to attack?! You don't know what be going through their minds." Shadow said screaming at the blue blur.
"Shadow calm down.... You're scaring Imani, and you got nothing to worry about. The mother wolf knew I wasn't gonna hurt her or her cubs. She trusted me and I trusted her, so stop worrying."
Before Shadow could even say another word, Sonic walked away and sat on the couch in the living and watched Imani play with Silver. Shadow was getting alittle angry about the situation but he knew that he couldn't take his anger out on Sonic. He knew if he kept yelling and screaming at him it would put more stress on Sonic and that stress would resolve into Sonic having a miscarriage. So he thought that it would be best to let it go and not worry about it anymore.
