Natalie was a character designed by my friend Charbile for his game Hati's Bizarre Adventure. Basically, she was my affectation of a demure and effete personality flipped from a wimpy guy into an actual girl, and I was immediately taken with the character. I began drawing and commissioning her and finding my actual fursona evolving into something more traditionally masculine - from mouse to rat, and then to weasel. Taking up my long-suppressed aggression and confidence, which had previously manifested as Minkshake - effectively flipping the script on my usual fantasies of being small, helpless, and cared for by a large, strong predator and fantasizing about being that predator.
Joseph is Bella's character, basically a male version of her fursona with a personal emotional comfort purpose to her as well. So when we got together, naturally we wound up putting these two together and it just seems to fit perfectly.
