She me be only a fraction of Gwendolyn's age, but Starwife Elysia is a true colleague in the world of magical creatures. She is also the only member of the Pacific Northwest Council of Witches and Wizards who truly intimidates Gwendolyn. Elysia has a much stronger personality and entirely different magical abilities.
Wish this kinda stuff was real; I'd get into it. Who knows, maybe it is. We don't exactly know everything, so maybe there are more fantastical discoveries to be made. About the only witchcraft I'm aware of is more or less just about meditation, a bit of feng shui, earthing / earth grounding, and generally just connecting with nature.
And that's good and all... but I wanna fly on a broom, see futures at will, make myself young when / If I make it to old, make a garden of those special mushrooms, and do all that other general magic stuff.

Pretty much many of the stuff you read in fantasy books was and somewhere still is real, but less and less practiced. Not enough people that still believe in it, not enough people willing to learn and practice or pay for the services. And without payback, practice is meaningless. When you do magic for someone, that someone must pay you back. If you've watched Fullmetal Alchemist, one of the most crucial rules of the world is true to ours as well - Equivalent Exchange. You get help or any other service, you pay for it, with money, energy or some other type. So, nowadays, knowlege of such practices is pretty much dead or nearly so.
Sadly, in our world, all that "make a spell and turn young in an instant" is probably a wishful imagination of the regular folk. Magic users might prolong their lives and look younger than others, but nothing happens in an instant, and most magic is not for un-keen eye.
Or again, those practices even more dead than a mere Tarrot Card fortune telling.

One might think it strange that Gwen would have multiple soul mates in her life, when we usually think we only have one in a lifetime, but then, she's lived a long time. Any previous soul mates would have long sense died, gone through the afterlife routine (who knows how long that takes, but I'd guess it takes a little while), and then reincarnated, at least going by some real life lore..
If those bones belonged to a previous soul mate of Gwyn's (speculation here, admittedly), then Chucky would have almost literally have been walking over his own grave. :p
As for using the Moon to reveal a connection with karmic overtones between Chucky and Gwyn, that also makes sense. According to ancient Chinese myth, the matchmaker god in charge of the red thread of fate that ties soul mates together lived on the Moon.
Also, I wonder how palmistry relates to rodent paws. As I understand it, the right hand relates to our lives as they are now while the left relates to how our lives could have gone originally.

I honestly believe a person can have multiple soul mates. Considering the number of people on Earth, the odds of compatibility with more than one person is nearly assured. Now meeting them? That's a task all in itself.

The dynamics here are interesting and somewhat disturbing. I get that Gwyn and Elysia are not antagonist but why would she be somewhat, not angry but annoyed, at Gwyn for not knowing the spell. Like I said Interesting. :)
Elysia can be a little short tempered with certain things. She expected Gwendolyn to know the concept, even if she can't perform the same type of spells. Just like several pages back, Gwendolyn explained to Prickella how Gabby's tarot cards worked even though she can't perform tarot readings herself. Gwenny's head is in the clouds thinking about a certain skunk boy.

Yeah the OORT CLOUD! ;D
BTW forgot to mention it but the image of the gem with the blood on it, the way you colored it, looks exACTly like a small cherry pie and it got me very hungry for one. ;D Just say'n. :D
Also I like the way you color / shade specific panels to emphasize them. It's a neat trick that works very well with your story telling. :)
