now i think about it some more, i have a feeling that she somehow already know she'll be staying with the dragon for a while, hence she felt the need to pack her camping things
with this in mind, it's probable that she actually has no intention of actually slaying the dragon (maybe start a family with him instead? The interitance would be enough to last until the modern times)
