You know, sometimes I stop and wonder what furry clothing would look like IRL. Like, I imagine you'd have a tail hole size you'd have to match up with your waist size which mean the amount of clothing a store would need for bottoms would be exponentially higher than what a normal one would have.

Cute clothes though.

Maybe the tail holes are always done on a per-customer basis, so you get the basic clothing and when you purchase in a shop you get a hole made, or take it home and DIY - of course, Internet shopping would make this easier as they could do it before shipping and they wouldn't need to store the myriad options. You wouldn't be able to try clothes on easily though, if at all, so maybe there are some generic 'try-on' clothes (not underwear though, but you don't usually try that on in a shop anyway) that have a quick button or zip arrangement for tails.

Then there's how the hole is made; some furs would be fine with just an elasticated hole with just the size being different, others may have to have a button or something like the fly on a pair of trousers as they would have to do the clothes up around it rather than just poke it through a hole; belts are probably much more commonplace.

It's at this point I realise that wondering about this is just a bit headache-inducing, as I usually then move from trousers and the wearing thereof, to chairs and that every chair would have to have accommodation for tails, which would almost be fine in the home - although lounging back on the couch might be awkward - but in public, particularly on public transport, chair design would be odd to accommodate the fact that each animal would have the different style and location of tail.

I do sometimes genuinely wish I had a tail though...

Oh chairs are easy. You just have the backs open on one side so you just turn and slide in and then to keep tails from being trampled on you have a little rest in the back curving around the chair.

Couches though... I think those would have to have an extra foot of depth to be able to comfortably accommodate a variety of tails. Or maybe you just do like with the chairs but with open space all in the middle at waist level and everyone just kinda deals with having tail poked through furniture.
