I was playing around scribbling from a screen shot of Daisy when the thought occurred to me that I'd been asked to draw Daisy ...not once, but twice (with more than two years between asks, by the same person).
So, though I hadn't intended this scribble as a gift art (...neither had I *intended to upload it), it looks good enough (I guess), to at least dedicate it to **dragonboy618 ...not an official gift, but a dedication sketch. :3
*quite literally a practice sketch. On the other side of this card is a portion of another practice sketch (of Sandy Brown, made earlier today), which bled through the scan of this card. Luckily, I was able to remove it.
Besides, I need Daisy, too---I need a Pencil-Era 'Blinky Bill' ACO, as well a subject to go with the featured pencil. :3
The featured pencil is a WWII-era 'Coquette' from Eagle Pencil Co.
For those who don't know, a 'coquette' is a woman who flirts ...and it's also the name of a South American hummingbird with green plumage, a reddish crest, and elongated cheek feathers ...but we're going with a flirty female. ^_^
I was saving this pencil for a redraw of Fifi le Fume, but I already have another TTA character I need to give precedence to, so Daisy gets the pencil. :3
Card was drawn via my 'Zephyr' from Wallace, and was delineated via a 'Pyramid' pencil from Phillip-Edwards Co. :3
Incidentally, though I did use a screen shot, I drew this subject entirely by freehand; I did not use any circle templates---I just drew. :3
A very cute picture of Daisy who surprisingly I remember from Blinky Bill which is a name I've not heard in a LONG time!
So many old cartoons to try to remember.
And if I remember that pencil fits her to a tee. *grin* And I probably mentioned it before but you don't use a lot of the pencils you showcase as drawing instruments, you have a favorite one or two for that task and leave the others as is. Cause for the life of me I don't remember you showing the Zephyr or the Pyramid.
Also I'm still looking into that situation we talked about. Some interesting things about it but nothing I probably have to worry about.
