I absolutely adored Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It pushed so many new boundaries for the Zelda formula and broke many others. It was like a breath of fresh air! *slaps knee*
Anyway, when I played the game with my sons, their favorite part of the game was the desert and the Gerudo. They loved being sneaky, dressing up in women's clothes and fooling all the guards! I personally loved the outfit design as well and thought it looked cute on Link! I especially enjoyed dying it different colors to suit my personal likes each playthrough, sometimes even having multiple copies of the outfit to swap out colors just because! Seeing this YCH, I knew I had to get it.
Taylor and Ahya was always a crazy idea that I think would make a fantastic mod for Breath of the Wild. To be able to play as them would be great. She's already got magnetic metal manipulation that could replace the Magnesis rune. She'll eventually get the ability to generate platforms of earth/material by super-heating the atoms around her and what she's touching, so that could reasonably replace the Cryonis rune with ingenuity. Stasis rune, not so much, but she could buy magic items to simulate that affect. With her powers of electricity to generate currents and explosions to simulate the Bomb rune, she could manage puzzles there. And with her added ability of mind manipulation, she might be able to turn enemies against each other.
The core game loop would probably be her racking up hits and blows to get herself hungry to where she can have Ahya eat an enemy whole, absorb a full power meter's worth of energy to expend on rune-like abilities that she has. After the power meter is expended, she would need to get hungry again to use Ahya once more to regain use of her powers. Ahya's saliva has healing properties and can recover health for Taylor provided there is energy left in the power meter. Not to mention some amazing gymnastics and parkour she could do with Ahya to assist. I'd say this would be a fantastic new way to experience the Breath of the Wild world! What do you think?
