I needed an old-timey, author-style icon for use in a Blacksad fanzine, so I drew myself this in about a day and a half.

A summary of how it went:

Me, choosing an old-timey photo of a Malagasy musician as reference for the outfit:
“Haha fuck yeah!!! Yes!!”

Me, having to draw the interaction between a bunch of stripes and a bunch of cloth folds:
“Well this fucking sucks. What the fuck.”
