What are the seven R units?

Considering the number of existing Chaos Emeralds, Delta Technologies built seven R units. Three prototypes, three experimental units, and one final version.

Prototypes
These units were originally conceived as part of a rehabilitation program run by Dr. Naomi Akari. However, due to their war potential, these units were redesigned to experiment with the various chaos energy weapons that Delta was working on.

R-00
-Code name: Eclipse
-Featured skills: Speed and stealth.
-Weaponry: Crimson blades.
-Other devices: Gravity boots. Infrared vision.
-Combat training: Freestyle.
-Special move: Bloody moon.

R-01
-Code name: Nosferatu
-Featured skills: Strength and resistance.
-Weaponry: Energy expulsion devices.
-Other devices: Combat dampers.
-Combat training: Kung fu.
-Special move: Burning Camazot.

R-02
-Code name: Zeta
-Featured skills: Strength and reflexes.
-Weaponry: Plasma cannons. Polymorphic fists.
-Other devices: Booster boots. Multifunction communicator.
-Combat training: Melee.
-Special move: Athena's arsenal.

Experimental units
These advanced units have an improved version of the Lazarus core, which gives them much higher attack power than the prototypes. In addition, two of these units have a technology called "Chaos craft", which allows the cyborg to make their own chaos energy weapons.

R-03
-Code name: Zeo
-Featured skills: Strength, endurance, speed and reflexes.
-Weaponry: Titanium claws. Electric stunner.
-Other devices: Energy absorption.

R-04
-Code name: Greta
-Featured skills: Strength and reflexes.
-Weapons: Whips, grenades, knives and other energy weapons.

R-05
-Code name: Galatea
-Featured skills: Strength, speed and reflexes.
-Weaponry: Katanas, shurikens, spears and other energy weapons.
-Other devices: Hologram generator. Camouflage.
-Combat training: Ninjutsu.
-Special technique: Kunoichi's revenge.

Ultimate R Unit
This unit brings together the best features of the previous units and amplifies their power exponentially. This makes him the most dangerous weapon of mass destruction on the planet, which is why this unit has been stripped of his free will.

R-06
-Code name: Cryogen
-Featured skills: Strength, endurance and reflexes.
-Weapon: Kaiser blades. Plasma cannons. Polymorphic fists. Energy weapons.
-Other gadgets: Booster boots. Titanium shields. Combat dampers.
-Combat training: By mental programming.
-Special move: Final execution.

Can there be more R units?

Since R units don’t need a Chaos Emerald to live, it’s possible to create new units. However, only seven R units can exist with a Chaos Emerald inside. This means that in order for a future R unit to have the power of the gem, it’s necessary to strip another unit of its power.

The Live foundation was commissioned to build an eighth R unit, using the Chaos Emerald that the army recovered after the events of Ground Zero. This eighth unit was not designed for war, however, she does possess very powerful telekinetic abilities that put her on the same level as other R units.
