I decided to revive The Black Hand, my old Youtube moniker, as a stand alone character. But unlike the Black Hand of old, this iteration has a much darker back story. When Norman Lee was placed into Cryogenic Stasis over 150 years ago, his spirit was cast adrift in a state of limbo between life and death leaving behind his body and forever dwelling in the pain and suffering of his tormented past.

As his body slept in stasis awaiting for technology to advance to a point he could be revived and cured of his ailments and returned to a good state of health, the spirit of Norman Lee drifted the cosmos seeing the same toxicity he suffered afflicting world after world he visited. The spirit grew fed up with what he saw and vowed to make civilizations he felt straying in the wrong direction go back on the right path, even if he had to do so by force.

The Spirit of Norman by chance encountered a highly advanced interstellar machine based civilization. Seeing the opportunity to be able to carry out his austere desires the spirit took over the central Artificial Intelligence that governed all aspects of the civilization and then transformed it and the machine civilization into an extension of his will, his embodiment. He called the transformed civilization "The Order of the Black Hand."

What you see in the art is the Avatar of the Black Hand, a robotic replica of Norman's original body, built to act as a means for The Black Hand to communicate to biological based civilizations and for the Spirit of Norman Lee to interact with the physical plain in a way he once did in his former body.

Norman's spirit now as The Black Hand utilizes the transformed machine civilization and its advanced capabilities to go from world to world forcefully intervening in the direction and affairs of the civilizations they harbor. The objective is to force civilizations to do what is deemed right for themselves, their people, their world, and most of all the cosmos. Civilizations that are deemed too far gone are destroyed and the native species of those civilizations reduced to the stone age to start over or rendered extinct all together.

Now as for the body the Spirit of Norman Lee left behind. Well we know the story to that. The body of Norman Lee was revived and he would eventually become Tamias, my fursona. The rest is history. However, at some point in the future Tamias will come face to face with The Black Hand. The question that will arise is this. Is the Spirit of Norman Lee now as the Black Hand the actual soul and Tamias being just a souless body left behind, or is Tamias a continuation of Norman Lee that left his past behind? The answer to that question could very well determine the fate of the Chipmunk Kingdom, Earth, and the Cosmos, when the time comes.
