To keep this post focused, if you are curious as to what OWOP is, please see the following post that has much more information:
Call For Participants
OWOP starts July 3rd, 2022, which is in just over 2 months at the time of this posting.
I hope that this is a "goldilocks" time for an OWOP reminder!
If you are thinking about participating (that is: creating or commissioning a picture / story for) the event, then please consider the following:
If you are an artist or writer, I recommend trying to plan for finishing your piece by June 19th (Juneteenth).
If you are commissioning an artist or a writer, you likely have a at least a couple of chances to get your commission done. Please be considerate to the artist and communicate to them that June 19th (Juneteenth) is an ideal date to have the work done by, and please try to give them a reasonable time to work on it. It will also be good to communicate the intent is to hold on posting the work until between July 3rd and July 9th.
Why Juneteenth? I figure this is a good date. It's easy to remember because it is a holiday / significant day, and it gives about a week of lee-way before OWOP starts.
But please remember: Participating in OWOP is about being creative but with a certain garment in mind to carry a theme. Be mindful of your wrists and wallets when it comes to participating.
This is not a requirement to participate, but if you do plan on participating it would help me out if you could send me a DM:
* Letting me know you are planning on participating * Letting me know what showcase(s) you are planning to create / commission work(s) for: ** SFW ** NSFW (Cubs & Adults) ** NSFW (Adults Only) * Letting me know who the artist and/or other participants may be (if applicable)
This can help me tentatively organize the showcases and I may even be able to give you an idea of what day I could be featuring your work on. However, this not a commitment on either side; I realize things may not work out on your end and I may shift things around on mine even up to during the event. This is really experimental to see how it may or may not help with planning.
Thank You
For considering to participate; but, regardless, I look forward to starting things off on July 3rd!
