As the sun rises to the start of a brand new morning, Elizabeth lays in bed with a satisfied smile on her face, happy to enjoy these moments of peace and quiet. Although, unbeknownst to the mother skunk, her slumber was bound to be broken by her energetic and restless daughter, who had managed to climb out of her crib shortly after waking up; donning her pink onesie adorned with red hearts, Emily waddles her way to the bedroom and climbs onto the bed before crawling on top of her mother.

“Mmmm….huh?” Elizabeth stirs and squirms in response, waking up to the purple skunk staring at her with a silly smile on her face. “Oh! Good morning, Emily!”

“Hewwo, Mommy!” the toddler giggles and greets her with a playful shake of her tail, more than ready to start the day.

As one would expect, the presence of the energetic Emily left Elizabeth with little time to herself, and when coupled with a skunk’s stinky tendencies, it made for quite the workload as well. Fortunately, the mother skunk finally had the chance to cherish some time to herself, all thanks to a babysitter she contacted not too long ago.

“Well, now that you’re wide awake, let’s get you something to eat, sweetie!” Elizabeth gets out of bed and picks the toddler up, giving her an affectionate nuzzle on the cheek. “Oh! I’ve got a special surprise for you as well!”

“Oooh! What is it, Mommy? What is it?” Emily asks.

“It wouldn’t be a surprise if I told you right away, silly!” Elizabeth giggles and gives the little skunk a playful boop on the nose. “You’ll find out after you eat your breakfast.” she says before heading downstairs and setting the toddler down.

Emily toddles around the living room while her mother starts making some breakfast, excited at the prospect of something to eat. After some time passes, a pleasant aroma fills the area, enticing Emily to head to the kitchen.

“Ish it weady yet, Mommy?” Emily asks.

“Not yet, sweetie.” Elizabeth replies.

“How about now?” she immediately asks again.

“Hehe, how about you wait in your highchair until it’s ready!” the mother skunk picks Emily up and plops her padded posterior into the highchair.

Emily playfully drums her paws and wiggles her feet while she continues to wait, wondering what her mother has in store for her. After a few more minutes pass, that question is finally answered as Elizabeth places a warm bowl of oatmeal topped with mixed fruit in front of the little skunk.

“Here you go, hon!” she smiles and places a plastic spoon in the bowl.

“Oooh, yummy yummy!” Emily eagerly scoops spoonful after spoonful of oatmeal into her mouth, greatly enjoying its gooey texture along with the mix of fruity flavors.

“You like it?” Elizabeth asks her.

“Yea yea!” Emily quickly finishes up the bowl of oatmeal, though of course such sloppy eating results in her having a rather  messy face.

“Want any more?” her mother asks.

“Uh huh! Uh huh!” Emily responds with an affirmative nod of her head.

“Okay, but first, let me clean you up a little bit!” Elizabeth grabs a washcloth and wipes off Emily’s face, eliciting some laughter from the little skunk; after that, she scoops up a big spoonful of oatmeal and dumps it into Emily’s bowl. “Oh! Do you want something to drink with that as well?”

“Appwe juice, pwease!” the toddler replies as she eats her second helping of oatmeal.

“Coming right up!” Elizabeth grabs a pink sippy cup and fills it with apple juice before handing it to her daughter.

Shortly after finishing her food, the little skunk greedily guzzles down the contents of her sippy, sporting a satisfied smile as the sweet juice swims around her taste buds.

“Slow down, sweetheart! You’ll get the hiccups if you drink too fast!” says Elizabeth with a giggle.

Emily nods her head and slows down, though something suddenly comes back up the moment she finishes her juice.

BUUUUUUUUUUUUURP!!!

The little skunk lets out a big and boisterous belch, causing her to burst into a fit of giggles.

“Wow! Excuse you, sweetie!” says Elizabeth with a giggle of her own.

“Hehehe, ‘scuse me!” says Emily with a silly smile. “Ooh, now what’s da suwpwise, Mommy?”

“I’ll tell you!” she says before lifting the toddler out of the high chair. “A babysitter is going to be with you for the rest of the day!”

“A…what?” Emily asks as she raises an eyebrow in confusion.

“Someone who’s gonna take care of you while Mommy is away!” Elizabeth smiles and pats the little skunk on the head. “I’ve been in touch with a certain babysitter as of recently, and I think you’ll really like her!”

“Oooh, yay yay yay! Dat sounds so fun!”Emily responds with a wide smile, certainly excited at the prospect of having new faces to meet and more people to play with.

“Then let’s get you dressed! It shouldn’t be long until she shows up!” with the toddler still secured in her arms, Elizabeth walks back to Emily’s bedroom before opening up the closet and setting her down. “Why don’t you pick out something to wear, sweetheart?”

Emily nods and scans through the closet’s contents, eventually deciding on how to dress herself up for the day; along with the addition of a pink and heart-shaped bow, she picks out her pink Hello Kitty t-shirt, opting for a simple but cute choice of clothing.

“Great choice, Emily! Can’t go wrong with looking pretty in pink!” Elizabeth undoes Emily’s onesie and replaces it with the clothes of her choice, guiding her head and arms through the shirt before tying the pink bow onto her magenta colored coat of hair. “There! All dressed up and ready to go!”

DING! DONG!

A few moments later, the sounds of a ringing doorbell echo around the house, indicating that a certain special guest has finally arrived.

“Oh! That must be the babysitter!” says the mother skunk as she walks back downstairs.

It’s not too long before the little skunk rushes her way downstairs as well, zooming past her mother and waiting at the front door with a wide smile on her face as she excitedly shakes her bushy tail.

“Well, aren’t you excited?” Elizabeth chuckles and walks up to the front door.

Once the door is opened, the two skunks are met by a brown-furred and blue-eyed cat sporting a teal t-shirt and dark blue jeans.

“Why hello there! You must be Maya!” Elizabeth smiles and invites her to come inside.

“And you must be Elizabeth! Such a pleasure to meet you!” Maya smiles back and shakes the skunk’s hand before looking down at the little toddler. “And you must be Emily!”

“Hewwo!” Emily smiles and greets her with a wave and another playful shake of her tail.

“Hehe, hello to you too! I must say, you look absolutely adorable!” she says with a gentle and joyful tone of voice before giving Emily a playful pat on the head.

The toddler gleefully giggles and babbles in response, already taking quite a liking to this babysitter.

“Awww, looks like you two are already getting along!” Elizabeth then bends down and gives Emily a big kiss on the cheek. “You’ll be a good girl while Mommy is gone, yes?”

“Hehehe, yesh, Mommy!” the little skunk responds.

“Thank you, sweetheart!” the mother skunk says before providing the babysitter with a written check and stepping out the door. “Have fun, you two!”

“Bye bye, Mommy!” Emily waves goodbye before Elizabeth closes the door.

After the mother skunk takes her leave, the baby and the babysitter stare at each other with wide smiles on their faces, wondering how they’re going to spend the day together.

“So, tell me, Emily! What do you like to do for fun?” Maya asks as she puts the check in her pocket.

“Oooh! I wike ta pway outside, and dwaw, and pway wif my toys!” Emily excitedly exclaims.

“Wow! Those all sound like lovely things to do!” Maya cheerfully replies.

“Uh huh! Uh huh! We gonna have wots of fun!” the toddler turns around and waddles her way back to the living room.

GUUUUURGLE!! GUUUUUURGLE!!

However, before any kind of playtime can take place, Emily feels a familiar pressure forming in her bowels as the oatmeal already begins approaching its way out. The skunk suddenly stops in her tracks in response to such a sensation, squatting and sticking out her bottom as she prepares to do the dirty deed.

“Mmmph!”

PBLOOOORP!

The bushy-tailed toddler dumps a smelly mound of mess in her diaper, causing it to suddenly sag down to her knees as a foul stench fills the air.

“Boom boom! I made a boom boom, Maya!” Emily looks down at her droopy diaper with a goofy grin as it sways back and forth between her legs; some skunks may have been embarrassed by their propensity for producing pungent odors, but in the case of Emily, she clearly couldn’t care less.

“Yea, you sure did!” says Maya with a slightly surprised expression, as she didn’t think she’d have to deal with a dirty diaper this early on. “Alright, now you need a diaper change, kiddo!”

The stinky skunk nods her head before the brown cat picks Emily up, carrying the toddler to her bedroom and laying her down on the changing table.

“Don’t move a muscle, cutie pie! Just let me find everything I need!” she steps away from the table to search for the supplies.

GUUUUUUUUURGLE!!!

However, in the few moments Maya spends to find said supplies, Emily feels that same pressure in her bowels once again, indicating that her second serving of oatmeal was making its way out as well. With little hesitation, the toddler spreads her legs and scrunches up her face, simply doing what skunks do best as she prepares to produce another stinky surprise for her caretaker to clean up.

“Mmmmmmmmph!”

PBLAAAAAAAAARMPH!!!

Emily dumps another smelly load in her diaper, causing it to become even bigger than before as large lumps protrude from it.

“Aaaah…” the little skunk sighs in relief and cracks a carefree smile once she finishes filling her diaper, glad to get rid of all that pressure.

Maya acquires all of the necessary supplies shortly afterwards, though it’s not too long before she’s struck by a much smellier stench.

“Is it me or does it smell a whole lot worse in here now?” the brown-colored cat plugs her nose and slowly steps forward, though she’s quick to catch the culprit upon spotting the now larger and lumpier diaper sagging past the skunk’s feet. “Oh my! Looks like someone still had to go!”

“Hehehe! Biggah boom boom!” Emily looks up at Maya with a goofy grin, like she was proud of what she just did in her diapers.

“Such a big mess for such a little girl!” Maya says with a sheepish smile, maintaining a peppy and
positive demeanor even if she wasn’t exactly looking forward to cleaning up the large mess lurking in Emily’s diaper.

After bracing herself with a deep breath, the babysitter undoes the dirty diaper and sets it off to the side, enduring the rancid odor emanating from it while she lifts up Emily’s legs and liberally wipes her bottom.

“Hehehe, dat tickwes!” Emily playfully squirms in response to the soft sensation of the baby wipes.

“Hold still, silly!” Maya then applies the baby powder onto Emily’s bottom and slides a clean diaper under her legs before snugly securing it around her waist. “And…all done!”

“Tank you, Maya!” Emily smiles and stands back up before shaking her tail in satisfaction.

“You’re very welcome, Emily!” Maya says with a bright smile. “Just let me wash my hands and then we’ll be ready to play!”

The babysitter then picks up the toddler’s dirty diaper and dumps it into the trash before walking out of the bedroom and to the upstairs bathroom.

“Heh, something tells me I’m gonna be dealing with a lot of dirty diapers throughout the day.” Maya says to herself while she washes her hands.

After exiting the bathroom, she returns to the bedroom and looks at the silly skunk.

“Soooooo, what should we do first, Emily?” Maya eagerly asks her, lifting Emily off the changing table and setting her down.

“Ooooh! I know! I know!” Emily excitedly responds.

The little skunk then rushes downstairs and toddles over to the toy box in the leftmost corner of the living room, rummaging through its contents before eventually taking out a bright red bouncy ball.

“Wets pway wif da bouncy baww, Maya!” she says.

“Great choice! How about we play with the bouncy ball outside, yea? Wouldn’t that be even better?” Maya replies.

“Oooooh! Yea yea yea!” Emily enthusiastically nods her head in agreement.

“Then what are we waiting for? Let’s go!” says the babysitter before walking out of the living room and opening up the front door. “After you, Emily!”

The toddler gleefully giggles and rushes out the door with the bouncy ball in her hands, happy to enjoy the outdoors once again as her feet sink into the grassy ground and her body is caressed by the sun’s warmth.

“Bouncy! Bouncy! Bouncy!” Emily happily bounces the ball to herself, mesmerized by its springy movements.

“Why don’t you bounce that ball over to me, Emily?” Maya says as she shuts the front door and joins the little skunk outside.

“Okie!” Emily thrusts the ball forward, causing it to bounce back up and land right in Maya’s hands.

“Nice one! Now I’ll bounce it back to you!” she says before bouncing it back to Emily.

Emily watches the ball bounce back to her and grabs onto it with her two hands, letting out a happy babble shortly after she catches it.

“Hehehe, bouncy!” Emily quickly bounces it back to the babysitter, greatly enjoying this little game of theirs.

For several more minutes, Emily and Maya continue bouncing the ball back and forth, filling the air with the sounds of the skunk’s cheerful laughter while the two of them take advantage of this beautiful day.

“Hey, Emily! Wanna know another fun game we can play?” Maya asks her.

“Oooh! What is it, Maya? What is it?” the toddler eagerly asks, always excited at the prospect of finding new ways to play.

“We can play catch! Like this!” rather than bouncing the ball back to Emily, Maya gently tosses it in the air.

“Woah!” Emily watches the ball move through the air with an awestruck expression, taking a step back before catching it on the way down.

It may not have been all that different from the previous game they were playing, but Emily really enjoyed it nonetheless, especially the act of watching the ball shoot up to the sky and drop back down.

“Ooooooh! I wanna twy dat!” Emily moves her arms back and positions the bouncy ball between her legs, preparing to perform a big throw. “Weeeeee!” the toddler tosses the ball as high as she can, watching it soar up into the sky before making its descent and landing right in Maya’s arms.

“Wow! What a throw!” the two of them toss the ball to each other a few more times, though it’s not long before another idea appears in Maya’s mind. “Oh! I know! How about you run around while I toss the ball to you! Doesn’t that sound fun?” she suggests.

“Yea!” Emily then breaks into a run and roams around the grassy terrain, intrigued by such an idea.

“Okay! Here it comes!” Maya winds up before tossing the ball high into the sky, making sure Emily has more than enough time to catch it.

The toddler runs up to the ball as it makes its way back down, extending her arms and catching it before it’s able to reach the ground. An accomplished smile forms on the toddler’s face as she comes to a stop, quite proud of the catch she made.

“Wow! Great catch!” Maya smiles and cheerfully claps her hands.

“Again! Again!” the toddler tosses the ball back to her and breaks into a run once again.

“Alrighty then!” she throws the ball again and watches Emily run up to catch it, looking at the little skunk with a wide smile. “Another awesome catch!”

“Hehehe, dis is so much fun!” Emily lets out a joyful laugh and tosses the ball back to the babysitter, getting lots of enjoyment out of each and every game.

“Indeed, and it only gets better from here!”  Maya then sets the ball on the ground and kicks it back to Emily. “Now you try!”

The toddler watches the ball roll along the ground before booting it back to the babysitter, finding such an action to be quite satisfying.

“Yea! Just like that!” Maya says to her.

The little skunk’s cheerful laughter fills the air once again as the two of them kick the ball back and forth, having a wonderful time with these several types of play; impressed by the sheer amount of versatility Maya is able to salvage from just a single bouncy ball, this then prompts the toddler to think of her own way to play.

“Maya! Maya! Watch dis!” Emily picks the ball back up and balances it on her head, taking slow and steady steps as it teeters back and forth.

“Ooh! Very nice!” Maya says as she watches the little skunk.

Emily balances the ball for a bit longer, though it’s not too long before it rolls right off her head and bounces along the ground.

“Hehehe, oopsie daisy!” she says with a bout of playful laughter.

The toddler then goes to retrieve the ball, but as she bends down to pick it up, a sudden pressure strikes her bladder and bowels, now needing to take a potty break after all of that playing around.

PSSSSSSSSSSSSH!!!

All of that apple juice approaches its way out as the little skunk soaks her diaper, causing it to sag to her knees and heavily stain a dark shade of yellow.

“Maya! I made pee pee!” Emily looks down at her soggy diaper while she continues to empty her bladder, giggling at the sight of it swaying and sloshing between her legs while a pleasant warmth develops around the front and back.

“Well, when you gotta go, you gotta go!” Maya can’t help but giggle at the silly sight of the skunk and her saggy diapers. “At least it’s just a wet diaper and not a poopy one!”

However, shortly after emptying her bladder, Emily stands on her fours, spreads out legs, and lifts her soggy bottom to the sky; Maya had yet to understand the significance of this peculiar pose, though people like Emily’s mother certainly knew it as the telltale sign that the little skunk was about to drop a big stink bomb.

“Emily? Are you alright? What are you doing?” Maya raises an eyebrow in confusion.

PBLOOOOOOOOORT!!!

Mere moments after asking that question, the toddler’s tail hikes up before she suddenly dumps a smelly mound of mess into her diaper, causing it to slump onto the grassy ground as a large lump bulges out from the back.

“Oh my goodness!” Maya says with a surprised expression, shocked at the fact that Emily had already made another big mess in her pants. “Well then, I guess I spoke too soon!” see adds with a giggle.

“Maya! I made poo poo!” Emily giggles and gives the back of her diaper a playful pat, once again taking pride in her poopy diapers.

“Yes, and it looks like you made a pretty big poo poo at that! Peeyew!” Maya says in a playful tone of voice while walking up to the smelly skunk. “Someone definitely needs their diaper changed!”

Initially, Maya thinks of simply carrying her back to the changing table, but a better idea soon comes to mind.

“Oh, I know! How about I change your diaper out here? That way you’ll have a little more time to play with your bouncy ball!” Maya says with a wide smile.

“Oooh, yea yea yea!” Emily responds with an ecstatic nod of her head, certainly liking the idea of salvaging some more playtime.

“Great! I’ll be right back, baby girl!” she gives the toddler a playful pat on the head before heading back inside.

While the babysitter acquires the changing supplies, Emily happily bounces the ball to herself and toddles around the grassy terrain, her soggy and stinky diaper dragging along the ground while doing so; of course, with the sun shining its warm and nourishing rays, the fluffy clouds slowly moving along the beautiful blue sky, and the many birds and bugs displaying their beauty both on the ground and in the air, Emily certainly wasn’t letting a full diaper ruin her fun, as there were far too many things for her to be happy about.

“Ok! Lay down, little one!” Maya says, heading back outside with the changing supplies in hand.

Emily nods her head and lays down on her back, enjoying the soft sensation of the green grass and the beautiful sight of the blue while she awaits her second diaper change of the day.

“Do you see any cool clouds up there, Emily?” Maya asks while she undoes the dirty diaper.

“Uh huh! Uh huh! I see one dat wooks wike a kitty!” Emily points at a random cloud, letting her active imagination do the work.

“Oh? Like the kitty on your t-shirt?” Maya asks as she lifts up Emily’s legs and starts wiping her bottom.

“Yea! It wooks wike Hewwo Kitty!” she nods her head and finds another cloud. “Oooh, dat one wooks wike a bunny wabbit!”

“I bet it does!” she applies a few more wipes and starts powdering the skunk’s bottom.

“Oooh oooh, and dat one wooks wike a doggie!” Emily points up at another cloud.

“Hehe, you have such an active imagination, Emily!” Maya diapers Emily up and places the toddler back on her feet, giving her newly padded bottom a playful pat before setting the skunk back down. “Now then, I bet all of that playing around has made you pretty hungry, yes?”

“Yesh, I hungwy!” the toddler responds with a nod, certainly not opposed to having something to eat.

“Awesome! Cause there’s a sandwich place that I think you’ll really like!” says the babysitter with a bright smile. “Alright, now how about you put your bouncy ball away and put your shoes on while I wash my hands and dispose of this dirty diaper.”

“Okay!” the skunk says with a smile.

Emily then picks the bouncy ball back up and walks back into the house, heading to the living room and putting it back in the toy box while Maya walks back to the bedroom and puts everything where it belongs. After that, the toddler grabs a pink pair of velcro shoes, sitting down and putting a shoe on each foot before securely strapping them up.

“Ready to go, Emily?” Maya asks as she steps out of the bathroom and walks back downstairs with Elizabeth’s pink diaper bag over her shoulder.

“I weady!” the skunk responds with a playful shake of her tail.

“Great! Then let’s go!”  Maya steps to the front door and swings it wide open.

Emily follows the babysitter from behind and happily prances to the car, excited at the prospect of going on a little road trip and getting some lunch. Maya then opens the door and plops the skunk’s padded rump onto the middle passenger seat, securely buckling her up to ensure a safe trip.

“Ok! Off we go!” Maya buckles herself up and starts the car, turning on some music to pass the time.

Emily happily shakes her body and kicks her feet in response to the music, giggling and laughing while the car makes its way to its destination.

“Oooh, looks like we’ve got a little dancer in here!” Maya takes notice of the dynamic dancing and turns the music up. “Go, Emily, go! Show off those funky little moves!”

Emily continues to wiggle her body and rock out to each song that plays on the radio, greatly enjoying herself as the skunk’s gleeful giggling fills the car.

“Hehe, you’re certainly an energetic one, Emily! You’ve been moving and grooving this whole time!” Maya turns into a parking lot and quickly finds a spot, concluding this twenty minute car ride.

After Maya unbuckles the skunk and sets her down, Emily stares in awe at the downtown plaza bustling with other people and being filled to the brim with shops and eateries.

“Wow! Dis pwace is huge!” Emily says.

“It sure is, Emily!” the cat responds. “I don’t want you getting lost in such a big place though, so you have to hold my hand while we’re there, ok?”

“Okay!” the toddler affirmatively nods her head.

While holding on to Maya’s hand, the energetic and playful Emily happily skips her way forward and looks around the expansive plaza, figuring it would be more enjoyable than the simple act of walking. After a few more minutes, the two of them stop at the sandwich shop.

“Here we are!” Maya says as the two of step inside. “You know what’s so cool about this place, Emily? You can make whatever kind of sandwich you want!”

“I can?” Emily asks with a curious expression.

“Yep! I’ll show you!”

Maya then picks the toddler up and places her on her shoulders, giving Emily a good view of everything that’s available.

“Welcome! What can I get for you today?” asks a female fox in a green set of work clothes and a white apron working at the front.

“Just ham, cheddar, and lettuce for me, please!” Maya replies.

“Coming right up!” the fox swiftly makes a sandwich with those three toppings before placing two more loaves of bread on the counter and looking up at Emily. “And what would you like, young lady?”

For several seconds, Emily silently stares at all of her options, astounded by the vast assortment of meats, cheeses, and veggies; given the sandwiches her mommy made only had two toppings, be it ham and cheese or peanut butter and jelly, this was certainly a step up.

“Hehe, lots to choose from, huh?” says Maya with a giggle.

“I want ham, and cheese, and….ooh, what awe dose gween tingies?” Emily points at the bin of lettuce.

“That’s lettuce! You wanna try it?” the fox asks her.

“Yea yea yea!” Emily excitedly replies.

“Alright!” the fox then puts the toppings on the sandwich. “Anything else?”

“Oooh, I wanna twy DOSE gween tingies, and dose bwack wound tingies, oooh and dose wed tingies too!” Emily points at some more toppings, wanting to try out these unfamiliar foods.

“Sure thing!” the employee adds avocado, olives, and bell peppers to the sandwich. “Anything else you’d like, little lady?”

“Nuh-uh.” Emily shakes her head no, satisfied by her selection.

“Quite the sandwich you got there, Emily!” Maya smiles and steps up to the cash register while the fox puts the sandwiches in a bag. “Oh, do you want something to drink too?”

“Ooh, I want a juice box, pwease!” says the skunk.

After the worker adds a juice box onto their order, Maya pays for the meal and promptly leaves the sandwich shop, taking the skunk off her shoulders and seating her at a nearby table for two.

“I bet someone’s excited to try out their sandwich!” Maya sits down and takes the food out of the bag, handing Emily her sandwich and juice box.

Emily nods her head and grabs her sandwich, satisfyingly staring at the array of toppings stacked between two soft slices of bread. The moment she takes that first bite, a wide smile forms on the toddler’s face, enjoying the various textures and flavors accompanying her taste buds, captivated by this cornucopia of condiments.

“Ish so yummy! Ish so yummy!” says the little skunk, so excited that she forgets to swallow.

“Hehe, I’m glad you like it, Emily, but try not to talk with your mouth full, silly!” Maya says before taking a bite out of her own sandwich.

Although it was a small sandwich, Emily made sure to savor every single bite, delighted by this delicious assortment of meat, cheese, and vegetables. After finishing off her food, Emily washes it all down with the contents of her juice box, patting her tummy in satisfaction once she’s all done.

“Looks like you really enjoyed that, Emily!” Maya says shortly after finishing her own sandwich.  “How about I walk you around town for a bit before heading home? Does that sound fun to you?”

“Ooooh, yea!” the little skunk happily responds.

“Alrighty then! Up you go!” she picks Emily up and puts her back on her shoulder, providing the toddler with a fun piggyback ride.

Now sitting from the vantage point of Maya’s shoulders, Emily looks around some more as her babysitter starts walking, fascinated by the vast amounts of shops and buildings surrounding the perimeter of the plaza. On top of this, the sheer amount of different people in town was also something that piqued Emily’s interest, whether it be adults conversing over a nice lunch, adolescents having an outing with their respective friend groups, or young children roaming around without a care in the world. It was certainly a marvelous sight for the curious child, but after a few more minutes, something else catches her eye, a pastel colored candy shop containing some outdoor tables.

“Maya! Maya! Can we get some candy? Pweeeeease?” Emily asks as she points at the candy shop.

“Hm, you’ve been such a good girl today, so I don’t see why not!” Maya says as she heads on over to said shop. “It’ll have to be something small though, cause I wouldn’t want you getting an upset tummy!” she says before setting the skunk back down.

“Yay!” a wide smile forms on Emily’s face and she holds Maya’s hand once again.

A pleasant chime-like sound rings throughout the shop as the two of them step inside, making their way to some rows of candies and candy bars near the front counter.

“Go ahead and pick out what piece of candy you want!” Maya says to her.

Emily toddles to the front counter and searches for what she wants, quickly making her decision as she grabs a chocolate candy bar.

“Well, that was fast!” Maya pays for the candy just as quickly Emily had found it, prompting them to leave the shop a few moments later. “Wanna walk around while you eat your chocolate, Emily?”

“Uh-huh!” she nods and unwraps her newly acquired candy.

While she waddles alongside her babysitter, Emily takes a big bite out of her candy bar, savoring its sweet and chocolatey goodness with a wide smile on her face. Shortly after that initial bite, the little skunk sloppily scarfs the rest of her candy down, getting chocolate all over her face.

“You enjoying your candy bar, Em-“ right before Maya finishes that sentence, she takes notice of the skunk’s sticky face, immediately answering her question. “Oh! Looks like someone really likes their chocoloate, huh?”

Maya then unzips the diaper bag and takes out a single baby wipe, cleaning off the toddler’s chocolate-stained face. Although, even with that issue resolved, another one quickly crops up as Emily starts to get jittery; even a single candy bar was more than enough to put the already energetic Emily into an even more energetic state, and now she wanted to put this sugar-induced energy to good use. With a playful giggle, the silly skunk bolts always from her babysitter and darts around the plaza, swerving past any people in her way.

“Ah! Emily! Get back here!” Maya quickly chases after her.

Emily looks from behind for a brief moment before speeding up, her bushy tail bobbing up and down as she zooms around in her sugar-induced state. Even if Maya didn’t exactly approve of her antics, she couldn’t help it, as she couldn’t afford having all of this playful energy go to waste. This chasing around the town continues for quite some time, but Maya eventually catches up and grabs the toddler by the tail; Emily fidgets and runs in place as her movement comes to a halt, like a hyperactive dog being pulled on their leash.

“Emily, don’t run away from me like that. You could have gotten lost if I didn’t chase you!” she pulls Emily closer to her and picks her up.

“Hehehe, sowwyyyyy!” Emily giggles and continues to squirm in the cat’s grasp.

Maya wanted to scold the skunk for running off like that, but she didn’t want to sour the mood of their fun-filled day. Besides, she couldn’t deny that she got some enjoyment out of the toddler’s cute and silly antics.

“Well, it seems I need to be more careful about giving you chocolate, cutie pie!” Maya laughs and gives Emily an affectionate nuzzle on the cheek. “Now I think it’s time we head back home!”

After a few more minutes of walking, Maya makes her way back to the car and buckles Emily up, giving her a playful pat on the head before getting in the driver’s seat and starting up the car. However, during the drive back, they run into a decent amount of traffic, making what’s meant to be a twenty minute trip into something that’s going to last a whole lot longer now.

“Hm, looks we’re hitting some pretty bad traffic.” Maya says as the car moves at a slow and sluggish pace; fortunately, with her positive attitude, even such a drastic delay can become a fun bonding experience. “Oh well, that just means we have enough time to play a fun game!”

“Oooh, games! I wuv games!” Emily cheerfully kicks her feet and claps her hands.

“I’m glad you do, cause this is a game my family loves to play in the car!” says the brown-furred cat. “It’s called I Spy! It’s where someone describes something they see and you try to guess what it is!”

“Oooh! I wanna pway! I wanna pway!” Emily excitedly replies, intrigued by this unfamiliar game.

“Great! I’ll demonstrate! I spy with my little eye….something purple!” Mays says, referring to Emily herself. “Now try and guess what I’m talking about!”

Emily looks around the car and out the window, spotting no kind of purple object. With those options exhausted, only one other choice comes to mind.

“Ish it me?” Emily asks, looking at the purple fur on her body.

“That’s right! It’s you!” Maya says with a wide smile, glad that the skunk is starting to understand this game. “Now think of something for me to guess!”

“Okie! I spy wif my wittwe eye….someting bwown!” Emily says, utilizing the exact same tactic Maya just used.

“Let me guess, it’s me!” says the brown cat with a chuckle.

“Yea! Ish you! You vewy good at dis game!” Emily cheerfully claps her hands once more, greatly enjoying this new game. “Again! Again! I wanna pway again!”

As the car continues traversing through this traffic jam, the two of them keep alternating between describing and guessing in their game of I Spy, using the several objects of their surroundings as points of reference such as trees, trash cans, and road signs. After several more minutes pass, the traffic jam finally starts to clear up, though it’s also provided more than enough time for Emily’s lunch to start approaching its way out.

PFFFFFFT!!!

The toddler lets out a little bit of gas, immediately causing her to burst into giggles.

“Hehehe! Funny noise! Funny noise!” Emily says with another fit of giggles, amused by the silly sounds of her own flatulence.

“Excuse you, Emily!” Maya says in response to that sudden sound.

PFFFFFT! FRRRRRT!!

Far too amused to stop at just one fart, the little skunk then lets out a double dose of gas, causing her to be twice as giggly as before.

“Sheesh! Sounds like there’s some thunder down under!” Maya can’t help but crack a chuckle.

BRAAAAAAAAP!!!

Emily lets loose a much louder and longer bout of flatulence, causing the both of them to burst into laughter; Maya knew that it wasn’t mature of her to be laughing at farts and flatulence of all things, but it was like the silly skunk’s bubbly and cheerful demeanor was rubbing off on her once again.

“Such a gassy little girl right now, huh?” Maya asks with another laugh.

“Hehehe, yea!” Emily tenses up again, though this time it’s far more than just a fart.

PFFFFFFT!! PBLOOOOOORP!!!

Emily deposits the contents of her lunch and dumps a firm mound of mess into her diaper, causing a pungent odor to permeate around the car.

“Uh oh! Something tells me that it wasn't just gas this time!” Maya immediately gets a whiff of what the toddler just did in her diapers. “Smells like a certain skunk just dropped a stink bomb in their diaper!” she says in a playful tone of voice.

“Hehehe, yea! ‘Tinky! ‘Tinky!” Emily says with another bout of cheerful laughter, looking down at the large lump protruding from her pampers.

“Stinky indeed! Peeyew!” Maya says with another laugh, enjoying these cute and silly conversations in spite of her car starting to smell like a dumpster. “You’re definitely due for another diaper change once we get home!”

Emily nods her head and gleefully giggles in response, though it’s not too long before the chocolate she had recently consumed approaches its way out as well. The stinky skunk then scrunches up her face and prepares to make some chocolate of her own, though certainly not the sweet and sugary kind.

“Mmmph!”

SPLOOOOOORTCH!!!

The toddler grunts and pushes a mushy pile of pudding into her pampers, causing them to sag some and stain a dark shade of brown.

“On second thought, I’ll have to change your diaper BEFORE we get back home.” Maya says as the foul odor intensifies. “Oof! You really stink!”

“Hehehe, I made my diapee change cowors, Maya! It wooks wike chcoowate!” Emily stares at her heavily stained diaper with a silly smile on her face.

“Heh, if only it was actually chocolate!.” Maya then rolls down the windows to get some fresh air circulating around the car, getting a little overwhelmed by the foul stench of the skunk’s dirty diapers. “Now then, I think some fresh air would be good for the both of us, yea?”

Emily nods her head in response, enjoying the cool and crisp air gently blowing across her face as the car ride continues. A few minutes later, Maya pulls into a parking lot at a nearby gas station and quickly stops the car in a vacant spot.

“Ok, now just stay put for a few moments, Emily! I need to get everything set up!” Maya says to her.

The brown cat then hops out of the car and opens up the trunk, unzipping the diaper bag and laying out a yellow changing mat before getting the rest of the supplies organized. Once that’s all settled, Maya walks back and opens up the passenger door.

“Alright! Time for a diaper change!” she unbuckles the stinky skunk and takes her out of the car.

“Oooh! I see so many caws!” Emily surveys the parking lot and spots several kinds of cars while Maya takes her to the trunk and lays her on the changing mat.

“What kind of cars do you see, Emily?” Maya asks while she undoes the toddler’s dirty diaper and lifts up her legs.

“I see gween and wed caws, and a big bwue one, oooh and a smaww yewwow one too!” Emily says while her bottom is thoroughly wiped and powdered.

“Wow, you really know your colors, Emily! Such a smart cookie!” the babysitter gives her a boop on the nose before snugly securing a clean diaper around her waist. “There we go! All done!”

After putting the supplies away and disposing of the dirty diaper in a nearby trash bin, Maya picks Emily up and closes the trunk before putting her back in the passenger seat. The cat then gets back in the car and quickly drives out of the parking lot, arriving back at the house five minutes later.

“Here we are! Home at last!” Maya unbuckles Emily and carries her out of the car, taking her shoes off and setting her down once they step back inside. “Sooo, what should we do now, Emily?” she asks the skunk.

“I know! Wets dwaw!” Emily cheerfully responds.

“That’s a lovely idea, dear!” says the cat with a clap of her hands. “Go ahead and get the drawing supplies then!”

The toddler nods and bolts upstairs to her bedroom, quickly returning to the living room with several sheets of paper and a big box of crayons.

“Great! Now let’s draw!” Maya says with a smile.

The two of them then sit on the floor and grab a sheet of paper along with a handful of crayons, filling the house with nothing but the sounds of scribbling while they focus on their drawings. After some more time passes, they finally finish up their drawings, now ready to show them off to each other.

“Maya! Wook at dis!” Emily shows her a bright orange butterfly she drew, making for a fairly polished drawing as well.

“Wow! That looks wonderful!” Maya cheerfully responds. “Here’s what I made!” she shows the skunk a far more polished portrait of the two of them.

“Ooooh, I wuv it so much!” Emily excitedly claps her hands at the sight of such a drawing, prompting another idea to come to the toddler’s mind. “I know! We can put dis on da fwidge!”

“That’s such a good idea, Emily!” Maya responds, figuring that would be a great way to commemorate this fun-filled day.

She then walks to the kitchen and grabs a fridge magnet lying on the counter, placing the portrait front and center on the fridge.

“There! Now you’ll never forget this fun day!” Maya says before walking back to the living room. “Now then, wanna keep drawing?”

“Yea!” Emily eagerly nods and plops back onto her padded posterior.

The little skunk and the adult cat make some more drawings with their several sheets of paper, ranging from flourishing flowers, to itty bitty bugs, or whatever else was on their mind at the moment. Eventually, Emily stands back up and a silly idea pops in her head, thinking of an amusing way to make use of her crayons. The little skunk then draws all over her diaper, decorating it with flowers, hearts, smiley faces, and other silly scribbles.

“What are you doing now, Emily?” Maya asks with a giggle.

“I decowating my diapee, Maya!” the toddler replies with a playful laugh, dropping her crayons onto the ground once she’s done.

“Such a silly little skunk!” Maya then picks Emily up and starts walking her to the upstairs bathroom. “How about I give you a bath before you end up making a bigger mess with those crayons!”

“Oooh! Can we do a bubbwe baf? Dose awe so much fun!” Emily asks with an excited smile.

“Why of course we can!” Maya gives Emily an affectionate nuzzle on the cheek before setting her down. “Ok! Arms up, cutie!”

After Emily complies with this order, Maya takes off the toddler’s t-shirt and undoes her diaper.

“Alright, now to get your bath ready!” Maya says once she’s done undressing her.

The little skunk eagerly waggles her tail and peeks over the tub, watching it fill up with warm water while Maya adds the bubble bath solution.

“Ok! It’s ready!” says the babysitter once the bathtub is filled up and full of pink bubbles. “Go ahead and hop in, Emily!”

The toddler quickly climbs into the tub, immediately immersing herself in her silly antics as she splashes around.

“Spwashy! Spwashy!” Emily smacks her hands into the water several times, causing it to splash out of the tub and all over Maya’s fur.

“Ah! Emily! You’re already getting me soaking wet!” as Maya tries to shield herself from the series of splashes, she quickly thinks of a solution. “How about instead of splashing, you can play with this!” she then grabs a rubber ducky laying on the sink and plops it into the tub.

Immediately intrigued by the bright yellow bath toy, Emily moves the rubber ducky around and gleefully giggles in response to its squeaky sounds.

“Do you know what sound a ducky makes?” Maya asks as she grabs a bottle of body wash and a bottle of conditioner.

“Ducky goes quack quack quack!” the skunk cheerfully responds.

“That’s right!” says the babysitter as she squirts some body wash onto her hand.

With the toddler immersed in her toys, Maya is able to clean Emily with ease, scrubbing the skunk’s body from top to bottom in addition to her bushy tail. Once that’s done, she applies some conditioner onto Emily’s magenta colored coat of hair, making her entire body squeaky clean.

“Now that you’re all cleaned up, you can stay in here for a little longer while I tidy up the living room and start making dinner!”

After Maya leaves the bathroom to attend to those duties, Emily looks down at all of the bubbles in the tub, grabbing a handful of them and flinging them up. Joyful laughter fills the bathroom as the bubbles disperse throughout the air, prompting Emily to get even more giggly once they pop.

“Bubbwes! Bubbwes! Bubbwes!” Emily says with a wide smile, greatly enjoying this bubble bath.

Eventually, Emily hears the sound of her sitter’s footsteps coming back to the bathroom, and with a silly grin on her face, she submerges herself underwater.

“Hm? Where did you go, Emily?” Maya asks as she walks back into the bathroom, feigning ignorance towards the skunk’s whereabouts.

“Peekaboo!” Emily immediately pops out of the water once she comes back.

“Such a silly skunk!” Maya gives Emily another pat on the head, amused by her antics.

Shortly afterwards, the sitter drains the tub and picks Emily up, setting her down and wrapping her in a warm and fluffy towel.

“Feels nice to be squeaky clean, yea?” Maya asks as she dries the toddler off, appreciating the pleasant scent emanating from the skunk knowing it won’t stay that way for long.

“Uh-huh!” Emily responds, enjoying the fresh and clean feel of her fur.

After being dried off, Maya puts Emily’s t-shirt back on and puts her in another diaper.

“Now let’s get some dinner in that tummy of yours!” Maya picks the toddler up and gives her tummy a little tickle before walking downstairs and seating her at the kitchen table.

Emily smiles and stares at her dinner, presented with a plate of bite-sized chicken nuggets along with a cup of juice and some blueberries and baby carrots; it may not have been the most complex of meals, but Emily certainly liked having several food categories on her plate, as well the fact that she could eat said foods with nothing but her hands. The little skunk then pops the nuggets, berries, and baby carrots into  her mouth, greatly enjoying these finger foods while she clears off her plate and guzzles down her juice.

“Wow! Looks like you made quick work of that!” Maya says as she wipes off the toddler’s face. “Alright, anything else you wanna do?”

Emily answers this question by hopping off the table and motioning her arms to Maya, indicating that she just wants some cuddles.

“Awww, you want some cuddles, Emily? Is that what you want?” Maya asks as she picks the toddler up.

“Mmhm.” Emily answers with an affirmative nod of her head. “Can I have my binky too?”

“Of course you can!” Maya walks back to the bedroom and quickly finds Emily’s pink pacifier, popping it into her mouth and looking at her with an affectionate smile. “Awww, and here I thought you couldn’t get any cuter!” Maya gives Emily a boop on the nose, eliciting a gleeful giggle.

Maya then walks back downstairs and sits down on the couch, gently laying the little skunk on her lap and pulling her closer to her chest. Only the soothing sounds of Emily sucking on her pacifier can be heard while the cat holds her close and a peaceful silence fills the house; while active and energetic tots like Emily certainly had a penchant for playing around the exploring the world around them, now that’s she’s done her fair share of play, she’s more than content with relaxing in her sitter’s arms, finding comfort and joy in the simplicity of doing absolutely nothing from time to time. As more time passes, Maya glances at the window and notices the gradual darkening of the blue skies, marking the transition from day to night.

“Oh, looks like it’s about time for bed.” Maya stands up and sets the little skunk back down. “Let’s head back to your bedroom so you can pick out your PJ’s!”

“Okay!” says the skunk while she continues sucking on her pacifier.

Still having a little bit of playful energy left in her, Emily gets on her fours and climbs up the stairs, figuring that would be a lot more fun than conventional ways of walking.

PFFFFFFT!!

However, right before she reaches her room, Emily’s tail flicks upward and a stinky solid suddenly plops into her pampers, causing a noticeable lump to bulge out from the back. Emily was a little surprised at the lack of any preemptive pressure telling her she had to make a poopy, though she couldn’t care less as to whether it was intentional or accidental, for the little skunk always got some silliness out of soiling herself.

“Boom boom! Boom boom!” Emily starts shaking her bottom, her droopy diaper swaying back and forth while she does her silly dance.

“Looks like someone’s doing the dirty diaper dance!” Maya gets a laugh out of the skunk’s silliness before walking upstairs and picking her up. “Now it’s time for another trip to the changing table!”

Maya lays Emily down and starts undoing the dirty diaper, making funny faces at the toddler while she cleans up her bottom. In turn, this gets a good amount of giggles out of the little skunk, appreciating the effort Maya put into making even the typically dreaded deed of changing diapers an enjoyable experience for the both of them.

“All done!” Maya diapers Emily up and sets her back down. “Now go ahead and pick out your PJ’s!”

However, after taking a few steps towards the closet, Emily quickly realizes that the initial accident didn’t actually empty her bowels, as she feels a big pressure make its return due to her most recent meal. The toddler then gets on her fours, spreads out her legs, and lifts her newly padded posterior to the ceiling, a pose that Maya now understood the significance of.

“You gotta go again? I just changed your diaper!” Maya says with a hint of surprise.

“Mmmmph!”

PBLOOOOOOOORMPH!!!

Emily grunts and pushes another stinky load into her pampers, causing a large lump to bulge out from the back as her diaper droops down to her feet.

PSSSSSSSSSHHHH!!!

Emily’s bladder also decides to pitch in as the skunk soaks her diaper as well, likely due to all of the juice she drank during lunch and dinner. After completely emptying herself, Emily cracks a dopey smile, clearly not too concerned about needing another change.

“Hehehe, Maya! I made pee pee and poo poo!” says the skunk, feeling quite silly for doing both numbers in her diaper.

Truth be told, Maya was a little annoyed that Emily hadn’t emptied everything into her last diaper, but she quickly laughs it off, figuring it would be pretty silly to sour the mood over an extra diaper change.

“All done?” Maya asks her.

“Aww done!” Emily happily replies.

“Then it looks like I’ve got one more diaper to change!” Maya says as she picks the skunk back up. “Back onto the table you go!”

Feeling rather silly about packing her pampers yet again, Emily gleefully giggles and looks down at the soggy and stinky diaper drooping down to her feet while Maya carries her back to the changing table. By the time the babysitter lays her back down, Emily is still just as giggly as she was before, playfully swishing her bushy tail and kicking her little feet while she awaits her fifth diaper change of the day.

“Even in a full diaper, you’re always such a happy and giggly girl!” Maya says with a giggle of her own, finding Emily’s cheerful demeanor to be quite contagious even if she smelled pretty awful at the moment. “You like being a little stinker, don’t you, Emily?”

“Hehehe, yea!” Emily responds with a playful laugh and an affirmative nod of her head.

“Hehehe, I should have expected that from a silly little skunk like yourself!” Maya undoes the dirty diaper and dumps it off onto the trash, gradually getting used to these potently pungent odors. “Now it’s time for the little stinker to get their bottom cleaned up!”

To make this experience even more enjoyable for the both of them, Maya continues making funny faces at Emily while wiping and powdering her bottom, eliciting more adorable laughter from the little skunk; although Emily seemed to poop her pants more times than the average toddler, Maya found this trait to be offset by the carefree cuteness and the excitable energy exhibited by the little skunk, making her a genuine joy to be around regardless of how many dirty diapers she had to change during the day.

“And….done!” Maya diapers Emily up and gives her bottom a gentle pat before setting her back down. “Ok, NOW you can pick out your PJ’s!”

Emily then toddles to the closet and quickly makes her choice, choosing a pair of yellow pajamas with smiling sun patterns.

“Great choice!” Maya grabs the pair of PJ’s and takes off Emily’s t-shirt, quickly replacing it with the pajama top before guiding her legs into the pajama bottoms. “There! Now you’re comfy, cozy, and ready for bed!”

As Maya places Emily into her crib and gently tucks her in, the skunk stares at her sitter with a wide smile, enjoying every second of the time they had spent together.

“Good night, Emily! I had so much fun with you today!” Maya says to her.

“Me too! I had so much fun!” Emily says before waving at the babysitter. “Bye bye, Maya!”

“Bye bye, Emily! Sweet dreams!”

The brown cat then leaves Emily’s bedroom and lounges on the couch shortly after coming downstairs, evidently a little exhausted by her long but enjoyable day of babysitting. A few minutes later, she hears the sounds of the front door opening and footsteps entering the house, assuming it’s Elizabeth making her return.

“Ah, Maya! How nice to see you again!” says the mother skunk as she steps into the living room. “I assume everything was alright with Emily, yes?”

“Oh, for sure! We had lots of fun together and she was such a joy to be around!” Maya happily responds. “I gotta say though, the kid, uh, definitely knows how to make good use of her diapers! Perhaps you should invest in some heavy duty diapers for your daughter!” she says with a giggle.

“Haha, perhaps I should!” Elizabeth says with a giggle of her own. “Funny you mention that, cause that’s one of the reasons why I really needed a day to myself. I love my little Emily to death, but I’d be lying if I said that dealing with an energetic toddler and being on diaper duty several times a day didn’t take its toll on me.”

“Oh, I totally get it! Mothers need their days off too!” Maya says with a smile. “Speaking of which, how was your day?”

“It was lovely! I certainly had a lot of catching up to do with friends and extended family!” Elizabeth responds. “Many thanks for making that possible.”

“Awwwww, it’s my pleasure! You can call me anytime you need me to look after your little ray of sunshine!” Maya says as she steps out of the living room. “Goodbye for now!”

Elizabeth waves back and watches Maya exit the front door, walking upstairs once the babysitter takes her leave. Before heading to her own room, the mother skunk walks into Emily’s bedroom and looks at her sleeping daughter with a smile, glad to know that she was in good hands during her time away. Now feeling far more energized from finally having a day to herself, Elizabeth walks to her room and eventually heads off to bed with a content expression on her face, more than ready for  whatever the next day has to offer.
