I'm guessing they've set their eyes on TiNi for some reason (not being "trans" enough? Maybe talking to that Ralts behind their backs? Who knows) and now TiNi's the focus of their hate.

Its like beholders in D&D. They hate everyone that isn't them. So they try and kill every other species in the area. When that's done, they still hate everyone who isn't them, and the various groups of beholders kill each other til only one group is left.. and then everyone in that group that's left still hates everyone who isn't them, and they all kill each other.
And that's why you only ever find one Beholder in a dungeon.

That’s exactly what I’m saying. When you get that deeply invested in a cause that you start basing your entire worth on what you are able to accomplish for that cause it is far too easy to become blind to the difference between those who are on your side but disagree on the methods and those who are actually against you.
