A dark forest luminated by only it's local life. Creepy, yet magical. The only actual threat is the wild boars, which you can scare offs with your own lights, just beware of the greedy owls.
The Dark Opal Forest is a heavily roofed forest, dominated by Opal Bark trees, bordered by regular trees. As all the trees clusters close together, each has very dense amount of leaves, the forest floor is nearly completely devoid of sunlight, with very small amount of random opening to the sky. Instead the forest is luminated by bioluminescent flowers, crystal bugs, and it's exclusive Opal Bark flowers.
Plants here unusually has a purple or blue hue, with barely any notable plant green colors, they even evolved to grow under dim light environment.
Due to the absence of sufficient sunlight, the 2 dominant animals here evolved to react differently to strong lights. The Shadow Boar has photophobia, and would retreat to the darkness as fast as possible. On the other hand, the Shadow Owl is the opposite, very attracted to lights, thus giving them their hoarding behavior.
As it's name suggested, the forest is notable for it's amount of opal, both within ores and plants. A small portion of the forest cuts into the Northeastern region of Hagal city.
Somewhere near the center of the forest lies Opal Town, within a visibly large forest opening. Phantony lives nearby.
