Oh yeah, yours would fit right in with Hail To England from Manowar, Destroy Erase Improve from Meshuggah, Vivid from Living Colour, Agent Orange from Sodom, Bullhead from Melvins (this one is definitely the weirdest of the bunch), Rising from Rainbow (yes there's apparently a metal band called Rainbow), Powerslave from Iron Maiden.
So yeah, colorful isn't common metal album covers, but it does show up! I mean, it makes sense. If most of your contemporaries in the music store are selling albums that are mostly white, black, muted reds and just generally dull colors, what's a sure fire way to get noticed? You call yourself Rainbow and you put that shit on your cover!
