I'm still amazed at this meme. If the person who started it had placed an ear of corn beside the cat, it would have had the same reaction. It isn't the cucumber that scares the cat, it's the fact that it wasn't there and then it was. (Imagine walking along by yourself and then, you look behind you and there's someone who wasn't there a second ago.) A piece of string or a tennis ball would elicit the same reaction out of a cat. (They're high-strung animals anyway. LOL.) Oh, well. People like it and get a laugh out of it so, who am I to complain?
