This lil scene takes place after the TaleSpin episode 14, "Stormy Weather", where Kit leaves Baloo to go work for a guy named Danger Dan who is obviously taking advantage of him. Kit pushes back so hard against Baloo's care an feelings that it's absolutely heartbreaking; an tho it ends on a tender note this just really turns that knob up even further. ^^

No, no. Don't sell TaleSpin short. As a matter of fact, the re-broadcasts of the pilot miniseries got "nerfed" because there were scenes that were considered 'too serious' for the show's intended audience. TaleSpin at the time was receiving both praise and actual awards for how much it was willing to tackle more "grown up" issues in its scripts. Bygones, The Old Man & The Sea Duck (an excellent ghost story!), and even Bullethead Baloo hit kind of hard if you're paying attention. And Kit *IS* a haunted little boar. He's already seen some shit, and with Don Karnage as the main cast baddie, that mutual history gets used to good effect.
