Volleyball isn't a sport one can just play on their own. a team is needed, and teamwork to forge the play, but in those final moments, when Natalie flies through the air, it's just her, the ball, and the entirety of the opposing team.

That moment, with everything set up perfectly, when she might grasp victory from the paws of her opponents, the moments when she strikes, when she speeds right up, and jumps through the air coiled thus that for a moment you could mistake it for flight... it sings to her, and her response is the all-too-lethal strike to slam that ball to the other side.

Artist's note: this work here? entirely a work of fiction. I don't play volleyball, I've never, and probably never will play volleyball. I've listened to those who do though, and it's relatable to a lot of things. sports aren't my thing, but athletes? yeah they're very relatable, even if the Personal Journeys I've ventured on have been in completely different fields.
