Insectoid Dragons are rather fun creatures. Rather than the traditional breath weaponry dragons of the chromatic or metallic variants employ, the Insectoid Dragon can deploy a swarm-cloud of insects, to defend the dragon against their enemies, and to fulfill certain tasks.
pictured here is Destra, in a dress that shows off her bust very well, and with her swarm deployed for some reason. I guess it makes for a memorable entrance, and it's probably good for a dragon to flex on all the other races, occasionally. what's the point of being a dragon if you can't be the center of everyone's world occasionally, right?
similarly: Dragons might have some predilections towards certain mode of thought we'd consider disordered in other races :P I guess that explains the typical hoarding behaviors at least.
artist notes: I wasn't super happy with how the shading of the last pic turned out, due to the interior of the bag and all. I decided to flex myself a bit, de-emphasis my lineart, and do a pic that was basically all about the shading.
