Here's a story they wrote for this:
"In one scenario:
In an alternate timeline, when Kate returned from Alpha School, Lilly and Humphrey felt they should help her celebrate her graduation. They figured some small game and some fermented berries would be just the thing. However, during their family/friend meal, while Kate hunted their small game prey, Lilly and Humphrey went to find the berries for the meal. But the berries they thought were fermented, weren't fermented at all. They were another rare berry that few ever found. They were called "Youth berries" any animal who ate them had their younger days restored. Usually, packs only had wolves eat these if they had a leader they didn't want to lose to old age with how well they handled being leader. But as Humphrey and Lilly figured they could try one or two, the next thing they knew, they were little pups. They barely looked a week old at most. Kate found them in their state and couldn't believe her eyes. There was her sister and her puphood friend now cute little pups. She couldn't leave them there by themselves. Soon, she carefully carried the two back to the safety of the pack. She explained everything to her mother and father, and Winston felt it was his fault for not providing them knowledge of the youth berries and how to identify them before he had taken Kate to Alpha School. Kate, already having maternally grown attached to the situation of her sister and friend becoming pups, she told her parents she would look after them, because they were already identifying her as their mother anyways. Soon night came upon the wester part of Jasper Park, and Kate fell asleep curling herself around her little charges like any mother wolf would to help them feel warm, loved and protected.

In another scenario:
Many things played out the same way, however, instead of just looking like cute little pups. Kate had felt a weight added to her belly, and when she felt kicks, she realized she had spontaneously become pregnant. After she sniffed the area for Lilly and Humphrey, their trail of their last known location led straight to a bush she knew all to well from classes in Alpha School. They were youth berries. This would explain the sudden roundness to her belly. It was the only logical thing that made sense, since the other means of becoming pregnant was not something Kate had taken part in. She was now pregnant with her sister and puphood friend. She was going to be their new mother. She figured the two must have not known the existence of these berries, and thought they were regular fermented berries. It was too late to scold them now. But this would be one heck of an explanation to the pack when she returned to them. When she informed her parents, as Kate would expect, her father Winston was speechless, jaw dropped as far as wolfly possible, and her mother Eve had fainted."
