Here's the next entry in my Valentine's Day artwork series...and not only am I using the same color scheme as the one before, but this time I'm putting Emily the mermaid and her seal friend Flippy in the "heartlight spotlight". Emily started out as a human until about age 8. She ran away from home after hearing her parents having a heated argument. She didn't know where she was running to, but there must've been something magical about that place, because all of a sudden she was transformed into a mermaid. As she was struggling to get used to her new form, she met a seal who was a great help in her adjustment to the new life and surroundings. They've been best friends ever since, exploring the world under the sea and all the adventures that go with it.
