Growing up as a poisonous reptile, Reena has been forced to be more in the back row of things. Given that a simple scratch on any of her barbs would introduce a whole slew of toxic substances, Reena goes out of her way to stay out of the way, being primarily vocal to warn others of her own presence, lest they accidentally infect themselves. However, her heart has always bent towards helping others and taking care of sick and disabled folks. This duality can cause quite a bit of conflict in Reena, as her desire to help sometimes gets her close to people, and therefore endangers them. Above anything else, she wants to keep others safe and not be the reason for anyone to go to the hospital. But as she helps, she is still wary of how wary others are of her. When her home area was hit with a devastating storm, she helped the volunteers to rescue survivors and treat the injured, before the professional emergency services were allowed to get into the disaster zone. The medics had appreciative words to say to Reena, congratulating her on her field medicine skills. This began her dream of going into medicine for a career. But then cue all the guys who wanted to go after this thicc dragon gal in a nurse's outfit. This began turning her off to sexuality almost completely. Almost. One particular day, the venom dragon went to an onsen to relax, and that was the day she met Maiya Kurohane. Meekly requesting a single unit, if it were possible, so she could rest and relax, Maiya apologized and explained that the bathhouse was by nature a public setting. Visibly downtrodden, Reena was ready to move to the exit, but Maiya chased down the dragoness and asked her to wait just a few minutes, as she turned the "closed" sign for the onsen's office. Waiting until all the other guests were in the changing rooms, Maiya offered the whole hot bath to Reena, who graciously and with a tear proceeded to the changing rooms to go appreciate the steam. In a few minutes, when the other guests had left and paid, Maiya came out and joined the venom dragon at the poolside, and they chatted the rest of the evening away. Exchanging phone numbers, it was not much time afterwards, that the two officially became a couple.
