It was not to get cookies though...I saw a magician on a television show yank a cloth out from underneath dishes without disturbing them, and I wanted to try that. I even had some of my mom's dishes and glasses set up on a living room end table with the corner of a bed sheet under them. When my mom came into the living room, I said, "Yo, Mom. Watch this!" I yanked the cloth expecting it to work the way the magician did it on the magic show on TV. Instead, several of my mom's dishes and glasses got broke. I got the ping-pong paddle good on me for that one.
After I finished crying, I said to my mom, "But it worked for the man on TV". My mom replied, "And yea. If that man on TV broke any of his mama's dishes, she'd paddle him too".
