What’s worse is it’s probably going to be turned against the mom. Frankly the whole thing is a little immature on his part; regardless of his feelings you can’t just turn your back on your kid like that.

So.. I think Pearl is very confused and is desperate to "fit in". So when they got support in how they look, they jumped on that and snowballed. I think Pearl is in the wrong.
(Side note: I like how people are supporting Pearl but still calling them "him".)

Honestly, who says they aren't him or at the most they/them? It really feels misguided and like an outlet and less like they thought this over between the rush of their "fans" telling them they're not male and getting home to dress up as female.

This portrayal of the dangers of echo chambers and the difficult navigation of topics like gender identity is really interesting from the lens of a 'mon who is probably used to getting his way given his celebrity...
Its juicy to read on, and I'm really excited to see how the story evolves~

I think it's gonna turn out that the Pokémon who claimed to be his "friends" are psychically manipulating him by making him think that this is what he wants so they can get him outed as the undefeated champion and embarrass him because of his controversial views on psychic Pokémon, basically a really nasty revenge plan on Pearl, i wouldn't be surprised if that Zoroark guy is in on it too honestly.

I’m actually kind of afraid that he might do that. Think about it, in his mind he’s already rationalizing that Maggie is bad by hindering him or by not accepting him as what he identifies as Immediately (even though she is trying to understand). If TiNi then rationalizes that Maggie is being bad that he is better than Maggie he may retaliate in response to her attack. There is a dangerous mob mentality that is seen throughout history that anyone who have bad ideas or don’t agree with on any level deserves to be treated less than human or in this case less than Pokémon. So there’s a good chance that TiNi may retaliate against Maggie. Which would mean he would put Maggie in grave danger and the second child that she’s carrying. I hope it’s not that but it may very well be.

Good job Maggie! This guy has completely lost his mind in this. SEriously, he isn't even having a proper conversation about any of this. Whoop him good!

You don't break someone's heart and then try to run away with a piece of their metaphorical 'foundation', Pearl. I'm in agreement with the others: Pearl needs a reality check. I hope Maggie and Alini can reach Pearl before it's too late.

It's getting harder and harder to sympathize with Pearl here. The dude gave his wife very little time to try and understand what the hell is going on. You just broke the news man and wanted her to fully understand within 10 mins on the "different" pearl? One where the audience dont know if you were brainwash or some weird psychological snowball effect?
And one of your responses after seeing her reacting how nearly any normal wife would when not given enough time to process what's going on is to threaten and then act on trying to take her daughter away? A daughter who you been gone for most of her life [not by choice I know, but still].
I really hope for both Pearl's, Maggie's and their daughter's sake that Pearl just backs down and doesn't fight...As he would most likely win due to experience and his daughter will always resent him for hurting or killing her mother.
