I haven't done digital art in months.. (it feels like years)
I did this in like 10 minutes just so I could say I did something...
Recently my experience in oils, acrylics, watercolors, and color theory have taught me ALOT about color, how we see it, and how to make my art look better or more interesting. I believe it has also increased my efficiency, if only slightly.
I work in acrylics in the same way that I -dreamed- of working digitally. Because of my year of oil paints, I have learned how to layer lines, edges, and shapes, and that all of these factors are interchangeable and can be redone. Anyways... it means my brain makes sense of things more efficiently now. Also, I am no long afraid of backgrounds!
